  • this is why i dont donate

  • Michael Steele- UNCLE TOM

    Michelle Malkin- Fakeass Filipina

Nancy Chavez- Coconut (brown on the outside and white on the inside).

  • So by your logic, I present the following:

MLK, Jr., Republican = Uncle Tom.

  • First off: Martin Luther King was NOT a Repulican ; His father was!!

Secondly Julia: I don't like for people to put words in my mouth. I NEVER said that if you are a person of color in the G.O.P. that one is a sellout.

Thirdly: The Republican party, whether you choose to believe it or not, is a party that has proven itself time & time again, to be very hostile to minorities.

If you want me to elaborate, then I will.

  • So was MLK, Jr., until 1960. Remember how JFK wiretapped him?

Consider these Dems, too (and no, I'm not a Repub.): Lester Maddox, Bull Connor, Orville Faubus, George Wallace, and even Robt. Byrd. Who enacted Black Codes and Jim Crow? What is the Repeal Act of 1894?

Rep. Everett Dirksen wrote the Civil Rights Act of 1965.

And on and on. It's better to search for truth, wherever you may find it, rather than spout any party's line.

  • Truth be told Julia, I hate BOTH parties...Lol Lol. I come across as a Democratic liberal, because I have tremendous contempt for the G.O.P.

I am an Independent.....Anyway, you make good points and I appreciate you for that. I joined the Republican Party in 1980, and left the party this year.

Reason: Just like you said: "truth". I started seeing the blantant hypocrisy, racism, and mean-spiritedness of the party. coupled with a lack of vision, and I said : "No Mas".

  • I also loathe both parties. I was a Dem for 35 years, until I witnessed abuse (I was spit on and called racist for voting for HRC) and outright cheating (on behalf of BO) by ACORN at my Dem primary in NV. Then came the antidemocratic DNC's RBC meeting.

I'm now a registered nonpartisan. Free agency is liberating. Anyhow, I respect your honesty, and I thank you for sharing your experience. Both parties SUCK! ;)

  • Well, I've got a co-worker who's a Libertarian. I've done much research, but I'm still not sure. I'm all for personal liberty, but there's just something about Libertarianism that bugs me.

Many of these people feel that "personal liberty means: "Run my company however I see fit, and no one can call me on it".

"I want to be free, so that means I can buy an AK47 automatic rifle because it's what I WANT TO DO".....I just crossed them off of my list.

  • I don't know why some people confuse freedom with anarchy. With freedom comes responsibility, and there's never an excuse for greed or for taking advantage of others. Smart to cross those folks off your list!

Re guns: the two times I've had a gun pointed in my face, neither perp got the gun legally; the guy in the first incident was only 16 and the second guy was an illegal who got the gun from an Amer. who traded it for pot. I was lucky neither hurt me and both were caught.

  • You just brought up a good point! All the Libertarians that I personally know, don't like rules!

I know business owners who say: "Don't tell me how to treat my workers and how to pay them, if I don't want to serve Mexicans in my restaurant, I should have the liberty not to...too much government" WTF?

  • First Off: I'm glad that you weren't harmed, and that they caught these lowlife bastards!

Well, based upon further research, i'm writing of being a Libertarian. So, I guess I'm going to check out the Reform Party's platform.

I'm sorry, but the more I've delved into Libertarianism, I started respecting it less and less.

  • P.S. True, you never said a Repub person of color was an Uncle Tom, but you gave two Repub people of color as examples and debased them.

  • please elaborate!!!

  • you guys should have your own show on MSNBC following Keith Olbermann.

  • For sure

  • That's SO FUNNY........LOOOOOOOL

    Way to go Chavez!.........LOOOOOOOL

  • And the reason WHY Linda Chavez isn't under arrest and in leg irons is...???

  • Awesome! It's really gratifying to see New Mexico crony politics finally take the national stage. After all these years of Texas-style cronyism, it's about time we got OUR time in crooked-ass limelight. That's really classic and predictable behavior for anyone who's seen politics in action in Albuquerque or Santa Fe. (Along with the newscaster bit, this makes two NM stories in one day on TYT's YouTube page! Woo hoo!)
