Its hard losing your dad. even in situations where you didnt get to know your dad well, when he dies, it hits you deep and hard.

My dad died january 7th, 2009. he was only sick for a few months, then he was gone. if you were close to your dad like i was, i feel for you, i do. and even though i dont know you, my thoughts, heart and support is with you.

the road is gonna get harder before it gets better, and youll never forget. i still cry, and its been almost a year.

Rainey, i'm so unbelievably sorry for your loss. My Grandad passed away in October, and although you were probably much closer to your Dad that I was to my Grandad.

But before he passed away, he gave us some advice. He said, "When I die, don't mourn my death; celebrate my life", and I hope that'll you'll take his advice as I am trying to do. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

This is a beautiful video. I lost my dad to cancer when I was 15. He fought for 4 long years. He was a tough guy and didn't go down without a fight. To say I understand what you're going through wouldn't be right, but I know what it felt like when I lost my dad.
