rated 1-10 clip was a 4.... band was off beat in a few sections , sound not so good,, whats with all the lights on , more like a house party than a concert.....
Are you sure? I was at the first show, probably the most bootlegged show in Rock history, and he definitely didn't play it. (It was one of five Darkness shows broadcast on radio stations throughout five regions of the country.)
I have an audience boot of the show the next night (12/16) and don't remember the song. Next time that show cross my disorganized path, I'll chek it out.
he sang I Fought The Law quite regulary in the "the river" tour in 1980 ;-) love the clash and agree about bruce being a punk, but the song is older than clash's version.
""I Fought the Law" is a much-covered song originally recorded by Sonny Curtis and The Crickets (post Buddy Holly) in 1959. The song was famously covered by Bobby Fuller Four, who recorded a more successful version of the song in 1965, and by The Clash, who performed and recorded a punk rock version in 1979."
was in Nashville...he put on a great show but the crowd (not a sellout) was only somewhat into it...cant compare it with europe...people dont take him for granted over there so they go ballistic when he plays
