If you are talking iceburg lettuce, I have tried everything & the best way to store it is with a Tupperware Lettuce Keeper...Don't wash it & just unwrap it & spike it on the spike & put into the frig...Don't remove the core..It will keep like new for at least 2 weeks, this way...Wash only the lettuce that you will need, when you take it off the head...

I no longer use a fridge. For most of human history people never used fridges. Good tips on not putting certain veg near other veg.
