  • c'est mieux jerry lee!

  • I'd pay that!

    good one Elton!

  • It's not a matter of judging who's better, I read Elton's biography and he understands Jerry Lee was better and faster at the piano, but who cares? both artists are legends of rock and roll, that's what counts.

  • This is amazing! Just as it is a pity that those real classics like Jerry Lees original never got the chance for a nowadays sound quality like this !

  • @Echnaton1954 Jerry Lee's version of Whole Lotta Shakin is not the original. Big Maybelle and Roy Hall both had hits with the song before Jerry Lee recorded his classic version.

  • 0:57 great piano!!!

  • cool version

  • Thank you mister Elton John for this number! Just GREAT!!!!

  • ELTON JOHN!!!

  • Great cover. I am happy it is down on record. We will not have Jerry Lee or Elton forever.

  • That is a good version of WLSGO but I think Elton John never can reach Jerry Lee Lewis. Lewis is a true legend and a stylist of music so nobody will ever ba able to do one of his songs better then he did it

  • Elton John is an amazing musician and so is Jerry Lee Lewis. I like is version, it's really good.

  • THANK YOU elton for covering this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Elton is in his own league - doesn't have to be compared to anybody but funny thing is that he does sound like Jerry Lee vocally in this recording as if he's enjoying to imitate Jerry Lee - maybe for fun.

  • That was better than I feared it would be.

  • Elton John is an amazing artist. He did play a lot of Rock and Roll in his career, how about "Saturday Night Is Alright For Fighting?" The deal is THE KILLER OWNS THIS SONG. Both greats. sj

  • Jerry Berry is better, but the fat can play pretty good too, and the song is so good I allmost died when I heard it.

  • Shame Elton did not play more real RnR in his career.

  • Killer jerry !

  • Jerry Lee is only one...

  • This is the best i ever heard this song done. Rock on Elton.

  • Great tribute to the Killer, Jerry lee should be proud

  • Rock On Elton, but I have to say Jerry Lee Lewis still rocks that song, he is the king

  • Jerry Lee Lewis is a great rock n' roll piano player, but Elton is much more versatile in his abilities on the piano. Jerry Lee Lewis would just play the same notes over and over, but people liked it including myself. Elton is the better musician, but I like them both.

  • if you study alittle bit jerrys style youll notice that is completely different to the rest of r n r players, a completely different style. he play thing that nobody does. not just playing same notes over and over its much more than that behind the killer.

  • Indeed this version IS better. But then so are other Elton covers of others songs: Lucy In The Sky, Pinball Wizard, Blueberry Hill, etc.....

  • Sorry, but i think this version is a lot better.

  • no artist can perform whole lotta shakin goin on like jerry lee lewis he is the king of piano rock

  • @taitstreet He was certainly the king of piano rock in C.

  • Nice try elton, but NOBODY can do it like JERRY LEE LEWIS the best artist ever.Sorry elton.

  • Nice, he tried impersonate somehow the style of Jerry's 50's studio performance.

  • gott schütze jerry lee lewis

  • AWESOME!!! I love it!! God! I love it!

  • I'm a fan of both musicians, but Elton is my all time favorite. Jerry Lee definitely rocked more than Elton and made the music come alive in him, but Elton is simply a better musician, better entertainer, and is still going strong as a performer.

  • Hold on now. I agree they are both good musicians, but Elton doesn't hold a candle to The Killer! The Killer is the King of Rock And Roll. Rock On Jerry Lee!

  • I thought Elvis was the King of Rock and Roll. Jerry Lee is still the Killer though.

  • The Killer and the King. The only reason Elvis got big was because he was white, sang the blues, and shook his legs for teenage girls. Rock on, King Jerry "Killer" Lee Lewis

  • @TheGMan516 Jerry Lee Lewis is white too... Can you explain what u meant to me? Btw. Elvis did much more than u said, try to study him a bit, because u gonna be impressed.

  • tahts right!!!!!

  • EJ did ok on this cover though..Danny O'Donnell

  • IN OTHER WORDS:

    In my opinion:

Guitars are fuzzing this song up

    more than the piana

    playing person.

  • Cabarets answer

    to

    rock

    and rolling

    things.

  • I have to give mucho props to Elton for this cover... it is very good and much better than what I thought it would be.

  • I'm sure elton would agree with you

  • JERRY LEE LEWIS.

  • Rock on Elton!!! :-)

  • Not bad,but NOBODY can do it like JERRY LEE LEWIS.

  • Good version! Thanks!

  • I LOVE HIM!!!!! Amazing piano! Elton rocksssss

  • this isn't bad!!
