I was in Disney World and we were in the park before opening. We were standing at the rope to get into tomorrowland. After a 1/2 hour of waiting, the area filled up bc the park opened. After all that waiting and trying to stake my ground to be first for space mountain they took off the ropes we finally got to the ride. Once we got in it went into that waiting area b4 the lift and it just stopped, the lights went on. After another 1/2 hour they gave us fastpasses and the ride started.
space mountain broke down on me 3 times in a row yesterday during ghost galaxy so i got a pass to go to the front of the line any ride so we saved it to try ghosy galax again which didnt break down
cast members are always yelling at guests cause one told me they have lots of trains going inside and not enough areas to park so it stops in the ride. i go there a lot. FUN RIDE! =D
Usually when the lights come on, it means the employees need to walk up and take care of the problem. I've been on it when it was slow to let people on and off and they never turn on the lights in that situation.

The ride is not broken it just stops when people take too long to load because the trains are pretty much constantly moving.
