  • That voice, good lord that voice.

  • It's called look at the songs used in the movie at the end of the credits

  • 4:38 Thumps Up :)

  • wow, ok. just let me completely reconfigure my life, thank you Sigur Ros

  • A true definition of music right here. It doesn't even have to be in a real language and it still kicks ass.

  • @harrypittmusic Icelandic is a real language.

  • @shady1630 They are from Iceland but they are not singing in Icelandic. They sing in a language they made up called Vonlenska known as Hopelandic in English. They made up all the words and it isn't recognized as an official language, therefore I was right and you lose sir. Research is a powerful thing.

  • @harrypittmusic You realize it's sung in Icelandic right? So...how would it not be a real language? It's one of the oldest languages in the world. Your not smart Mr. Harry not smart!

  • Comment removed

  • @logandrums Harrypittmusic is correct. The singer of Sigur Ros makes his own language to sing some of his songs in. A truly beautiful language.

  • @fammyzap cool idea man

  • Man, makes me so nastolagic of Summer. Can't wait for it to come back!

  • Dock shuffle decided to play this to wake me up.

    Best wake up ever. :)

  • Úžasnej hlas, ale smutnej...

  • Jeez your getting deep

  • @JPaul1298 That's what she said..ha ha

  • This song makes me believe that I am enough for myself. I don't need others to tell me how important I am/can be to them. I have been gifted this life and I want to make the most of it. I came here alone and I will leave this world alone, so I don't want to waste my life because of someone who just showed up for a while and left without even caring about me.

  • @fammyzap False. You needed Sigur Rós to tell you that.

  • Where's my 'like' button gone?!?

  • 127 didn't bring me here, but I will watch it now that I know this song is in it.

  • wow that is some powerful music

  • The tune starting at 4:38 is so amazing it's stuck in my head for an entire day :)

  • currently waiting on my test results, might have leukimia. i cant tell my friends i dont want to upset them but this song gives me hope, especially when it gets into. after i cry of coarse haha but what im saying is, living in thiss fear makes me see how short life is and everybody should just grab it by the balls and dont think just do it! seriously life is a gift dont take it for granted so go and ask that girl/guy out, go do something insanely stupid and brilliant. most of all have fun.thanks

  • @darthcrowe Well said bro (:

  • IN THE WORDS OF BARRACK OBAMA TO US IRISH IS FEIDER LINN YES WE CAN!!!!!!!!

  • I have no idea what he's saying but thats some beautiful shit right there

  • @ADADMAN2 its not actually a real language. theres no real words to most of their songs, which is one reason why its so amazing to listen to

  • amazing! this song should be 127 hours long..

  • walk... with the certainty of arrival

  • I dont care if 127 hours brought me here

    this is a great song

  • the breath support needed to sing that opening....well played sir...well played

  • like if you searched because of 127 hours

  • is this from iGod?

  • Full of hope song

  • Aron Ralston I salute you ;)

  • I've listened that the best way to listen this song is cutting out the first half. It is the same that asking you to cut the half of your joy. What a nonsense! You shouldn't cut even one sec of it. It's a God's gift and we need to digest all of it. Just amazing!

  • thumbs up if 127 hours brought you here

  • This sounds like you're ascending into heaven

  • Anyone else here because of HBO's 24/7 Rangers vs Flyers? They used this song for the very last montage and it was amazing. Definitely worth checking out whether you're a hockey fan or not

  • Aww this song makes me cry :') And I don't even know why xD

  • C'est juste parfait

  • 127 Hours.

  • Fact: this song has been scientifically proven to provoke an emotional response out of people.

  • @jjoorrddaann3 you don't really need science to tell you that

  • @jjoorrddaann3 Most songs do.

  • they just used this in a video about bullying at our school and i cried :'( so beautiful

  • This combined with the narration at the end of HBO 24/7 Flyers/Rangers gave me chills.

  • @Jgriffy samee, musta watched that part at least 5 times

  • @shady1630 i watch it 22 times and counting

  • This was in 127 Hours!

  • @kedwards065 NO SHIT

  • HBO 24/7 RANGERS FLYERS

  • ah mon dieu, j'taime

  • 127 hours sent me here

  • Why don't I hear this on radio?

  • @TCfoxs good music would be too distracting 8l

  • @campernocamping1 Yeah, would be too dangerous to listen to it ex. while driving a car. It makes you think too much about other things than concentrating on driving. :)

  • @TCfoxs I can do it!!!

  • Gotta love stumbling upon some band you've never heard of and they turn out to be awesome!

  • "127 hours" and "The boys are back"

  • 7:30 till end..best part

  • Sigur Ros sent me here.

  • 127 hours !

  • You dont hear Sigur Ros...You feel it.

  • @liquidspounch best comment

  • @liquidspounch why did I need to turn up my speakers then? :/

  • @liquidspounch Wise and true (Y)

  • @liquidspounch hi you said it .....its a felt music... sending shivers down my spine at the moment...want this played at my funeral ..not being morbid

  • I was rescued to this song :)

  • What are the opening chords? (The ones that he uses the cello bow to play) I just realized how awesome their drummer is too :)

  • Im really starting to hate those f+cking adds.

  • There is so much energy coming from this song

  • nossa quando eu assisti 127 horas e ouvi essa musica me encantei por ela,

    demorei mas á acheei

  • 127 Hours brought me here and I think 90% of you were too

  • nothing brought me here. i'm natural sigur ros listener

  • i dont get this. why would you start listening at 4:30? do you think sigur ros, when he listens to this song, skips to 4:30 or whenever? no, cause he made a fucking beautiful piece of music that was meant to last exactly 9 minutes and 26 fucking seconds. so listen to the whole song, or not at all.

  • @michaeljohnmcgarry I agree with you, but Sigur Rós are a band; not just one man.

  • @michaeljohnmcgarry Song Nazi much?

Although I agree it should be fully enjoyed.

  • At around 4:30 it starts! :D

  • first one in from the Baww

  • frission

  • Constantly sends shivers down my spine. Gorgeous

  • manly tears were shed...

  • Enjoy 5:00

  • i love this song so much is very beautiful :D

  • Half of me is disappointed that the only reason some of these folks have exposure to this great Sigur Ros track is because of the "127 Hours" movie (it's a decent movie- but that's not the point).

The other half is pleased that these folks at least found SOME kind of way to hear some of Sigur Ros' genius.

Either way.... please pass it on. This band could very well be the key to what this world needs to get beyond our current idiocy.

  • My heart goes out to aron ralston , like trapped for day's , cut off his arm, then walked a mile to get help

  • well at least our generation has a couple bands that understand music. for a minute there I was starting to worry

  • thats awesome

  • beautiful..

  • Free Will brought me here. Mr Will has great taste in music.

  • I came here because Sigur Ros is Bliss

  • Sigur Ros is truly talented when it comes to conveying ideas without words, apparent after 4:38

  • 127 HOURS!

  • @mateusmoni AKA the best movie ever. =D

  • Thank you Sigur Ros - Thank you<3

  • i'm not sure who todd fiddleson is but this song rules.

  • @AnnieVlogz Tom has incredible taste in music! This is gorgeous. :-D

  • grecian9 brought me here!

  • this song made the ending of 127 hours so much more amazing, the scene was amazingly sad and uplifting at the same moment, and the musical genius of the composer Sigur Ros' "festival" complimented it so much i've never felt such an amazing mix of emotions in which i was crying in a ball at the same time as jumping and cheering... truely breath-taking

  • This is music

  • i must confess that i cried a little at the end of 127 hours.. such the perfect song at the end

i didn't know that band until i saw them at Hurricane Festival in Germany some years ago.. the weather was fine - it was evening and sunset - and we were sitting on the ground listening to this band... i call this perfect atmosphere :D

  • @playr1983 lol I cried too at the end of the movie, for sure!

it was so epic and emotionnal that i had to cry,

each time i watch the movie. =D

  • this song actually makes me cry

  • Since 1999 / 2000, Sigur Ros changed my life.

  • @oscarrlopezg mine too! they are amazing

  • This is why I love 127 hours.

The music brings it so much to life.

  • @monieo555 yeah, the movie is built almost like the song, really intense and sad part, than the feelgood part :)

  • Life is what you make it, make it amazing

  • one step inside a place beautifully true two steps inside a world all over you three steps into exstacy inside you four steps into the world coming through five steps into who you are six steps into the bing bang so far seven heaven steps a world so weird eight a life in a place scared nine a feeling inside a man ten a world that just began eleven a place not alive 12 is forever is forever alive
  • every single time i hear this song i remember how i felt as i walked through the streets and saw hundreds if not thousands of people camping out for months at a time demanding the fall of the regime. this song describes how i felt when the people of my country began their revolution.

  • Thumbs up if you dont understand why there's people can actually DISLIKE THIS!?!?!!

  • The end of 127 Hours wouldn't be as good if another song would've been used.

  • @AntonAdalsteinson Completely agree. That movie was made incredible by this song

  • If you play this song and "Heima" by Sigur Ros at the same time and then continue to listen to "Festival" it makes both of them sound even more unspeakably amazing then they already are. I hate asking for thumbs up but please thumbs up so people can see :)

  • @southparkcoolio I cant find Heima on youtube :/ Post a link?

  • @wombat989 For some reason it won't let me but if you go the channel "parlophone" and search for Heima it should pop up

  • @southparkcoolio Thanks for the advice :)

  • Ah, I almost died when I heard this song on 127 Hours with James Franco. I love love love this song. Its so beautiful.

  • I don't care if you don't believe in heaven, as a matter of fact maybe I am not such a believer, but for the last 5 minutes of the song even the greatest atheist believes.

  • @necroyoli08 If you see the beauty in something that doesnt mean there is a god. Dont put Atheists down. Personally Im am an Agnostic - which means I dont know what to believe. But Beauty is inthe eye of the beholder and beauty occurs everywhere. Not one religon is beautiful....Ironic or hypocritical I dont know - but what I do know is This song inspires me and it wasnt created by a god - it was by a person.

  • @Kaldhore why is there always somebody trying to be such a smartass ???, look, I'm not talking about religion here, and I'm not putting atheists down either, I'm just talking about the mood of a beautiful song, and please don't sharpshoot people on youtube, is kind of pathetic, most times you will realize that those people know as much as you about whatever you are talking about.

  • @necroyoli08 But you did - the evidence is there. And what I said in return was polite and explanatory not vindictive like u have now put to me. Anyway..goodbye and good health.
