Jonreid-- so are you saying this as a means to say the feedlot is not as bad as it looks? I would object to the idea that they are there all their life because it is not their natural life. They are born and raised for slaughter. It's not a very long life at that. Being on the range is a point but a alive to an ugly wound. Eating grain to add flavor is horrible as well. Dairy cows in the central valley are kept in the same way. The only cows that I have seen on nice green grass are the ones in commercials. I still enjoy dairy products and beef.

All the animals are kept on range land all their life until they are brought to the feed lot to eat grain to add flavor.

After pasing that feed lot on highway 5 it makes me want to become a permanent vegetarian.
