I've always loved Ani, but I love her more for planning a homebirth! Well, slightly less because she didn't ask me to be her midwife! xoxo

Homebirth is safer (for 95% of women - "low risk" pregnancy)
and cheaper although midwives should get paid more than OB's since they work so much harder.
About $3000- $4000 for a homebirth (depending on where you live) and OB's get about $10,000
I had both my kids at home. Wouldn't dream of doing it any other way

and yes i think it would be cheaper, too. how much are midwives? i don't plan on giving my money to hospitals and insurance companies if i have another baby b/c they mess everything up w/ their unnecessary medical intervention

Congratulations! I had a home birth - my now 24 yo son in 1982. FUN - Scary - Cheaper!
