This does look gud for an Xbox/PS3 title, but if you guys were such big pc crysis fans, you would know what features are coming to pc: DX11: Dynamic Facial Expressions,tessilation,realtime global illumination, Voxels,Differed Lighting,longer draw listances,higher res:shadows textures meshes, better physics etc And cryengine3 dynamically adapts to the platform when compiled so yes it dumbs down for the consoles so think about how much "less" dumbed down the pc version will be stop crying already

After seeing this demo I'm even more convinced that this game has been ruined by the consoles. The new nanosuit, gameplay and graphics. Seriously all of these are steps back from Crysis 1 as far as I'm concerned. Why would you combine nanosuit functions other than make it "easier" to use for the console controller? Why would you make the gamplay like CoD/MoH or similar games? Why are you happy with sub 720p jagged graphics now but not 3 years ago?

Well graphics were awsome, but movement, and gun animations were dissapionting, also the gunplay was what I wanted to see, but all I got to see was him shooting at enemies that had no reaction to his attacks, thats the problem with a lot of Sci-fi shooters you shoot, but never get any really reaction from enemies, and AI was dumb. Killzone 2 still wins hopefully they step it up.
The Nanosuit sounds in Crysis 1 were a hell lot better but also for some other people ou there graphics arent so good ,maybe because they have not yet finished the crysis 2!!!!!
Exactly, AI and enemy reaction to being shot was awful. Graphics and intensity were top notch, but the immersion died with the crappy AI, and animations, He was shooting at those things with a shotgun, and they just looked at him as to say "Was that suppossed to hurt?"
Crysis the first one on PC was known for its Incredible Visuals and the physics it had. I'm disappointed in seeing this, as I have played and beaten the first game. I think crytek should take it back in the islands though. Well I hope its at least longer than the first one, the first one was only 8-10 hours long.

@Despond I honestly wish that console could do as much as a PC, and that PC had the ability to be played with a PS3 controller on a TV. I own a PS3, and I logically detirmined what I was in a better financial position to buy. Im not very stay at home and I dont feel like speding money yearly for every three games I get, so I stick with the PS3 (360 is alot farther from PC than PS). I do agree with you on how they dumbed the game down.

I can see recommended requirements now, 3-4 480gtx's and intel i7 980x extreme 6 core over clocked to 4.0 ghz in order to run this game. looks AMAZING
@SmellsLikeNirvanna moh just looks like a rehash of more modern warfare, i'd rather have something at least a bit different once in a while. The original crysis is still fun to play. Never underestimate the fun of uncloaking and using strength mode to knock out a soldier with a twig next to you, or a nearby chicken.

but to be on topic, the original Crysis and Uncharted 2 looks better to me then Crysis 2... For the original Crysis being set in an awesome jungle setting like the original Farcry and max settings on the PC. Also, crysis 1 will look better than this version of crysis 2 because, well, it is. This is the xbox 360 version, which equates to roughly medium settings + high shaders on the first crysis. The ps3 version should be a bit better and the pc version should stomp on its face :)

@danielign9 the game runs at 30fps, 720p and has motion blur (ofc), and this is a video of the game, so it'll always look smoother. As long as halo 3 doesn't make you barf at the framerate, this will be fine.
why did he play the Xbox360 version? He's limiting the presentation to DirectX 9 shaders. Either way, the game looks surprisingly smooth for a 360 title. I got fed up with the 360 after seeing that most games were running at 20-25 fps.
I bet it doesn't run in 60fps like MW2.. even tho MW2 sucks and has loads of kids on it, it still runs in 60fps and I refuse to buy games that can't run in 60fps... It's 2010, not 1994
@Zanxion I'm sorry to say this, but if you want 60fps, buy a gaming PC. Mw2 is one of the only 60fps console games of the last few years, and that is because it had severe cutbacks in resolution and texture (it's actually running at 1024x600 on consoles). Concoles will only ever have 60fps games for their first 2-3 years of their life, max, then they have to shoehorn in better graphics on the outdated tech, so the games become 30fps.

Forget about the fact that the game is being played badly.There are numerous gameplay enhancements over the first crysis.Like the HUD is able to identify weapons, objects and usable items in the scene.Notice that the machine gun has limited ammo and is also detachable, unlike the 1st Crysis.And you can also kick stuff.So this is definitely an improvement in terms of gameplay.And of course the graphics are very good for a CONSOLE game and PC is obviously gonna be better.
on a more serious note though.... Fuck G4TV's website. It wont let me load more than 4-5 vids at a time and now the site's home page wont even load. I love the content, but trying to view it is complete bullshit the majority of the time. (I can go to IGN's site and open 20-30 vids at once and not have a single issue... seriously, Double U - Tea - Fuck??)

eh? it looks okay..only thing I dont like is how the game is based on killing creatures rather than humans and some of the stuff still looks glitchy like the part when the building fell it didnt look as smooth and I like how it takes place in NY instead of the jungle beause I kinda got tired of the jungle environment in FPS games.....

1)yours is an overpriced pc.i customized mine w 1.5k singapore dollars and it runs in all gamer settings.
2)pcs are expensive cos its not just for gaming. i use it to work, photoshop etc. and dozens of other things, consoles are meant for JUST GAMING. you cant compare the two.
Seriously, I run Crysis on maxed out settings with a 1200 dollar PC. So go ahead and get an inferior xbox or PS3 if you're too much of a computer illiterate idiot to get the better alternative for the same price.

I can see recommended requirements now, 3-4 480gtx's and intel i7 980x extreme 6 core over clocked to 4.0 ghz in order to run this game. looks AMAZING

@SmellsLikeNirvanna moh just looks like a rehash of more modern warfare, i'd rather have something at least a bit different once in a while. The original crysis is still fun to play. Never underestimate the fun of uncloaking and using strength mode to knock out a soldier with a twig next to you, or a nearby chicken.

But that went upside down with Crysis Warhead and Far Cry 2 when they used DRM. Crysis is best on a PC system. but to be on topic, the original Crysis and Uncharted 2 looks better to me then Crysis 2... For the original Crysis being set in an awesome jungle setting like the original Farcry and max settings on the PC. @s0nic777 Uncharted 2 is an awesome game, the uncharted series are one of the few where you can really feel like you're there, two of the others being the original crysis and warhead :)
Also, crysis 1 will look better than this version of crysis 2 because, well, it is. This is the xbox 360 version, which equates to roughly medium settings + high shaders on the first crysis. The ps3 version should be a bit better and the pc version should stomp on its face :)

@danielign9 the game runs at 30fps, 720p and has motion blur (ofc), and this is a video of the game, so it'll always look smoother. As long as halo 3 doesn't make you barf at the framerate, this will be fine.

why did he play the Xbox360 version? He's limiting the presentation to DirectX 9 shaders. Either way, the game looks surprisingly smooth for a 360 title. I got fed up with the 360 after seeing that most games were running at 20-25 fps.

@Zanxion I'm sorry to say this, but if you want 60fps, buy a gaming PC. Mw2 is one of the only 60fps console games of the last few years, and that is because it had severe cutbacks in resolution and texture (it's actually running at 1024x600 on consoles). Concoles will only ever have 60fps games for their first 2-3 years of their life, max, then they have to shoehorn in better graphics on the outdated tech, so the games become 30fps.

Forget about the fact that the game is being played badly.There are numerous gameplay enhancements over the first crysis.Like the HUD is able to identify weapons, objects and usable items in the scene.Notice that the machine gun has limited ammo and is also detachable, unlike the 1st Crysis.And you can also kick stuff.So this is definitely an improvement in terms of gameplay.And of course the graphics are very good for a CONSOLE game and PC is obviously gonna be better.

eh? it looks okay..only thing I dont like is how the game is based on killing creatures rather than humans and some of the stuff still looks glitchy like the part when the building fell it didnt look as smooth and I like how it takes place in NY instead of the jungle beause I kinda got tired of the jungle environment in FPS games.....

2)pcs are expensive cos its not just for gaming. i use it to work, photoshop etc. and dozens of other things, consoles are meant for JUST GAMING. you cant compare the two.
