  • Watch and learn, this is how you earn most royalties for a performance :-)

  • Who else came here from pissing around on Wikipedia?

  • @starryeyedsilence wanted to see what 42/8 was like lol.

  • Bar one IS in 142/8

    I counted

    Seriously, i did

  • Bar 1 is in 142/8 time. Amazing!

  • @MusicJustin15 that's crazy!

  • @K0stil, bar 1 is in 142/8 bar 2 is 87/8 bar 3 is 42/8 time and the last 2 are in 34/8 time.

  • @BeowulfVids Does that mean that the whole piece consists of only 5 bars? Awesome :D

  • @Neishapour, Mozart did not introduce romanticism, idk who taught you that..

  • Just listen and enjoy the journey. If you let it, it will teach you a lot about yourself. Be still...just be in the moment...and listen. jayjisan.

  • wikipedia says:

it is in in 142/8 time

  • i find this to be both shallow and pedantic...

  • some of this song is in 142/8 time..

  • @JaysEatingWorld i know! its funny.

  • The second bar is in 87/8, the third in 42/8, and the last two bars of the piece are in 34/8.

  • @jontagg93 how the fuck do you count it? and is it supposed to be slow at the start?

  • Bar 1 is in 142/8 time!!!

  • WHY 142/8 WWHYYY IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE

  • Bar 1 is in 142/8 time

  • I don't quite understand this

  • trust me i reserched weird time signatures, and this song has A LOT of wierd time signatures, in the first bar it is 142/8 time 2nd bar is 87/8 time. WEIRD

  • wow that was cool

  • For a second I wondered what I was saying then. Comments in the video = added bubbles in the YouTube video that the maker adds, not what random people say below.

  • Music isn't all about analysis. Sometimes it's just about music. And I'm listening to this and just enjoying it an occasionally reading the comments in the video. I understand all the ones I've read so far. I've read one so far.

  • i dont get the analysis of the piece.

whats the story behind it, why did he make such music? what is the theory behind it? thanks!

  • He's at disneyland lol

  • The first bar is 142/8 timing. This man is a fucking genius. RIP

  • @Autobot71Ironhide The only thing is.. I don't think this is the case where he said "I want this bar to be in 142/8". It just worked out that way.

  • The TRUE creator of Noise Music.

  • @Autobot71Ironhide Its not noise .... Its sound

  • Sieg HEil! At least some good German music !!!

  • If i ever kill myself THIS will be playing in the background.

  • I think Mandelbuleten and liebesliedtlb is a pretty cool guy. eh trolls a lot and doesnt afraid of anything...

  • SOMETHING WENT WRONG IN STOCKHAUSEN'S LIFE, PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL WHO THINK THIS IS BEAUTIFUL, MAY YOU FIND PEACE AND LOVE.

    I SEND YOU LOVE

  • @liebesliedtlb cool bro

  • According to Wikipedia, Bar 1 is in 142/8 time. I mean, wtf, seriously?

  • @OPETHLURVE It's not really that crazy...It's the simplest way to notate that a note should be repeated a bunch of times. The first measure consists of the chord written out a few times and then it just says repeat it starting at ff and slowly decrescendoing to pppp until the end of the measure.

  • the problem is: people are just too used to normal scales, tones and they need something to stuck it in their minds so they can sing it or play it. this is not music for clubs or orchestras, this is concret music. musicians will listen to it to get more experience with different kinds of music construction. thats the whole point.

  • shit! I don't understand this music!

  • @TheHitez you dont need to undestand it, you got to feel it.

Was daran allerdings schlecht sein soll, müsstest du mir mal genauer erklären.

  • Did Mozart ever compose such grap?

I AM SORRY I WAS AN IDIOT TO WASTE MY ENERGY AND TIME TO ARGUE WITH LUNATICS! IT TAKES AN IDIOT TO ARGUE WITH LUNATICS, WHO THINK LISTENING TO THIS NOISE MAKES THEM SEEM SMARTER AND SPECIAL.

I SEND YOU LOVE AND PEACE! ENJOY YOUR NOISE AND YOU KNOW I AM RIGHT! BY YOUR OBSCENE REMARKS YOU HAVE PROVEN TO ME WHAT KIND OF INDIVIDUAL YOU ARE, FILLED WITH DARKNESS , ANGER, HOSTILITY AND HATE FOR OTHERS. PEACE BE WITH YOU!

  • Those Caps give your post a really mature touch Congratulations for being an ignorant child.

  • @Mandelblueten Haha you're funny! I've seen piles of negative youtube comments on modern music videos, usually it's "this piece is an insult to the history and beauty of modern music... go fuck your mum... etc" but you've gone the other way, the humanitarian approach to youtube brawls. Peace be with you too my friend. When I listen to my noise, in darkness and anger you will be the light at the end of my Stockhausien-Fibonaccian tunnel saying... "Mozart" and then I will listen to some Mozart.

  • @17175386 The interesting thing is that mozert was also interested in the connection between music and mathematics.....mathematics hold some universe secrets...they are not just "technology" they are part of nature and they also meet limitation, interrogations. we could even say that music is mathematics you can listen to....a very sensual abstraction

  • oh weh!Was ist denn das fuer ein geklimper? Das will man Musik nennen? Mozart haette sich im Grab umgedreht. schockierend, haarestraeubend. Kingt als ob ein 3 jaehriges Kind spielt HAHAHA! Anyone offended by my comment? Please give me a good LAUGH or get a life!

    can

  • @Mandelblueten

  • Obviously this music is not as popular as Mozarts now. I find an alarming tragedy and mysticism in this piece. I love Mozarts music but all music at one point has been contemporary. Salieri, et al criticized Mozarts music for being out of norm. Mozart was introducing Romanticism to the world. I respect Mandelbluetens opinion even though I disagree. Music is sound that communicates that which cannot be spoken; this music (and Mozart's) do just that for me. Thank you for sharing your opinion.

  • Absolutely accurate and beautiful performance by the pianist. Thank you for uploading this music.

  • Very accurate and clear piano playing of this work. Have added this to my "favourites". I am learning to play this work at the moment and this excellent performance is one of my references.

  • Very nice, carefully executed performance! Shame that the last 25 seconds or so is missing... just over the youtube limit. Far and away the best performance here.

  • thanks for your comment. I feel the same way about this performance. You're right - it didn't quite fit.

  • THANK YOU!

  • @NewMusicXX

    That's what she said.

  • Never mind, there is a complete version on youtube, just not of this recording.

  • Not quite complete? Is there a complete version with the last three measures on youtube?

  • Is this Kontarsky? It's not Henck...

  • Patricia Von Blumroder is the pianist
