This song is spot on with the lyrics.No car so you took your girl friend to the dance on the bus and had to get her home by 1030 pm.No back seat of the car for a snog so had to leave the dance hall with your hand duly stamped so you could get back in and round into the car park in a vacant door way (if you were lucky).No funny buisness tho, just a snog and a quick grope if you lucky.These are memories of the PLAZA dance hall ROOKERY ROAD HANDSWORTH BRUM.1962 Any body else out there remember?.

I remember this song from 1962. I qualified as a doctor in 1961 and used to get a real blast from this song while I was a houseman working a 60 hours week in hospital. My God, but those were the days!
