@Delorean911Turbo: Don't know if you can say that for the general layout of the engine. The sound depends on many other different aspects. The old air cooled Porsche flat-6 sound a lot different to the modern watercooled Porsche motors. Also a BMW straight 6 will always have its specific note, while other I-6 will sound different, too.

but the sound at the end isn't from the V10 of the Carrera GT (which sounds more like a F1) but from a Flat-Six of a Porsche 911 :)

But how can you tell the difference from a flat-six to, say, a V6? (I know the Carrera GT sounds a lot different than the 911)
