  • dude you're a sick sick person!!! awesome job!!! ..... oh the humanity... how many patience!!!!

  • @mattjew619 Those are Power of the Jedi Rebel Troops from 2001. Don't bother with them, though, there's a much better Rebel Fleet Trooper coming up in the Vintage Collection that should be in stores in a matter of weeks,.

  • do you think you could post some images (not video) without figures so I could print out flat backdrops of it for stopmotion? and any other starwars dioramas you are making, I plan to recreate the whole movie. btw your diorama is realy awesome!

  • do you think you could post some images (not video) without figures so I could print out flat backdrops of it for stopmotion? It's realy awesome!

  • see what you think to my diorma

  • That is so cool! Can you tell me how you made the doorways, the way it curves in and bends.

  • Pretty cool.

  • damn i felt like i was goin in the ship!

  • GREATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow! You are an ubernerd! Congratulations! That's a compliment btw.. That is one nice diorama!

  • have you tried using that snake apparatus with camera on the end of it, its the mini camera for looking under doors or cracks in foundations. could help you when filming "interior shots" without taking your diorama apart when filming

  • DUDE YOU HAVE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH STAR WARS TOYS I WANT THAT MUCH IF YOU MADETHEM TELL ME HOW TO MAKE THEM PLEASE!!!!!

  • great job kid - han solo :p

no serioulsy thats was better than my spelling LOL

  • Very impressive! Great job!

  • Nice! Now you have to make a stop-motion movie using your action figures!

  • terriffic! well done!!!

  • dude your so awesome you made the tantive iv the best man its the best replica in vids i'v ever seen

  • That was cool. Where did you get all your stuff to make everything?

  • @johnnygun749 Pretty much everything came from Hobby Lobby or Michael's.

  • Very cool diorama.

Wouldn't vacuum formed sections made with white plastic work for this?

Maybe this could be ambient lit with fibre optics or LEDs?

  • @smithdream It definitely would! If I only knew how to do such things.

  • lol I kept getting confused about which one was which

  • wooow amazing congrats good job!!

  • what is the deal with everyone having all these figures, BUILDING replica sets and NOT doing stopmotion films with them!?!?!? this is so infuriating!! i have been on youtube all day today looking for badass stop motion vids and all the ones i come across SUCK because they dont have enough figs or sets and stuff and then I come accross stuff like this and its just SHOWING people the shit??WTF!?!?! seriously wtf...

  • @andrewa714 This setup wasn't built to accommodate stop-motion; manipulating, posing, and moving figures and photographing them simply would not physically work with this diorama. Additionally, I and lots of others feel that good photography and screen accurate poses beat the hell out of ridiculously crappy ass stop-motion done by hacks with zero experience doing so.

  • @KBD3 Why is someone a hack if they have no experience doing stop motion? People gotta learn somewhere and somehow. Much harder doing a stop motion than just taking stills from a movie a recreating them with figures that you did not make or paint (yes you made the backdrops and they look awesome!).

  • @digitalintent I guess by hack I meant "not good" versus "good" -- you can have no experience and do great stop motion. My point is that I never set out to do stop motion at all -- just building the set took dozens of hours of my personal time -- every night for weeks. It would take a year to do stop motion in that environment that looked decent -- who has time for that?!

  • @KBD3 Ok. I guess the animator in me felt a little put off by the way it was worded. Like I said, the sets do look very good.

  • nice job man :)

  • very cool man :)

  • Incredible work, well done mate!!!!

  • Awesome.

  • not bad for a first attempt...pffft just kidding .lol. that is feckin rad dude!

  • Wow... that must have taken a LOT of work! Good job!

  • SHIT!! This is a great job you have done! Congratulations! This scenes are very important scenes because it was the first scenes on Star Wars back in 1977!

  • Sweet diorama. Although it would have been nice if you explained how you did it. Nonetheless, congrats on your creativity!

  • damn how did you make it so detailed ho and check out my mustafar diorama

  • I was enjoying the vid and I thought this guy must be abit of a Star Wars fan - then the camera panned back to reveal his collections along the wall. wow!

  • This ispart of the scenes that had me hooked! Great work. Amazing talent!

  • I'm inspired. I'll have to do a deal with you; for one of my scratch built costumes or something.

  • Nice job, the diorama looks so cool.

  • Thanks man -- it was a lot of work but I am glad I did it.

  • pertty sweet

  • awsome!this is some of the best figure shots i've ever seen and maybe you should make stop motion movies cause the detail in the background was awsome and the way you posed the figures you might be good for that sort of thing.tell me if you decide to make stop motion movies or not.

  • i know!!!!

it would be awsome if he did do stopmotion

  • has any body noticed that c 3 pos left or right leg is not gold its silver i first saw that in the empires strikes back

  • its because when C-3PO was being gold plated, (in the storyline, not in the movie production) there was no gold leg, so whoever was plating it had to make do with a chrome one.

  • Your diorama is excellen you did a very good job and i like the comparison between movie scenes and the toys in action! You are great! :o)))

  • im glad some people still like starwars

  • Hahahaha!! I love the POTF rebel trooper at 0:43. He's all jacked up and sex-crazed. He's like the Barry Bonds of the Rebel Alliance. Thank god they don't make Star Wars action figures like that any more...

    A+ vid, diorama, collection, etc!!

  • Hilarious that you noticed that! I just included him to round out the crew -- I put him way in the back but he ended up being kind of prominent. I guess he's the only one of those guards that is a steroid freak!

  • XD i was at the store a couple of days ago, and i noticed that the saga legends Han was a POTF han, apparently he is a repack

  • Does he look sex-crazed and retard-strong, too?

  • Yep! XS

  • SUPERB! You did a very good job! Excellent work and nice presentation!

    Unique diorama! Markus from Germany

  • Sick....Sick.... ... Sick. Sweet, accurate choice of soundtrack, too (tho YT incorrectly tags it as the Imperial March -- wow, not even the right movie).

  • Recant on YT diss: My bad, I guess the music tag is just an ad and not necessarily meant as identifying the vid's music track.

  • As critical as I am, nicly done.

  • WOW!! That was great:0)

  • you made this 1 day before my birthday, 5-6-09

  • Awesome that looks just like it

  • that cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • awesome work

  • This would be awesome to do with 12" figures (like the sideshow ones) :D

  • your good

  • I'm not even sure I belive its a diorama!? how did you create it?

  • that is crazy you must be really proud of it

  • I have to say... You are a great artist, you must be proud

  • Wow man...thanks, I really appreciate it.

  • Cool! You Have a load of figures.

How many did you use in this video?

  • I think about 10 rebel troopers, and at least 12 stormtroopers of various incarnations -- I tried to use as many of the most recent ones that I could -- the brand new Luke and Han figures are actually in there. Then the astromechs (2), Darth Vader (one of many), the officer, and the Leia. So that's about 25 figures for these photos!

  • And yeah, duh, C-3PO, R2-D2 and TC-14...

  • BRILLIANT!

  • You even got the lighing right, lol!!!!

  • Impressive . . . . most impressive ! .

  • im gonna make one like this, just with vader choaking captin antilis

  • very nice.

  • Excellent diorama!

looks like you have quite the collection there. Ever thought of doing a video on it? I for one would love to see it

  • wow nice job

  • cool win r u going to be done with it?????

  • All I can hope is some time within the next month...!

  • Awesome - you did a great job!!!!

    Fantastic diorama

  • HOLY SH*T. Just amazing...I think I saw this on a forum. Are you a member anywhere?

  • TFN and Rebelscum. But I hadn't posted this on a forum until your note! Then I did on both.

  • nice job 5/5

    details are verry good :P

  • Quality

  • awesome

  • Hey happy birthday by the way. You are a f'ing MADMAN!! That is some incredibly epic handiwork. The hand size o.g. Star Wars action figure sound stage made from scratch! How many hours would you say you put into the corridor? Oh yeah, and I still say pound for pound you will not find a finer guitarist than KBD3

  • JOEL! Wow... Well, I stopped keeping track of the hours after the first week -- I could only do a few hours each evening because of well, you know, wife and two kids, work, and gigs. Seriously -- I can't say how many hours -- there's planning, buying materials, computer work, nitty gritty cutting and construction, painting, gluing, fine detailing -- then setting up the figures, taking pictures, creating the video -- and oh yeah, trolling eBay for cheap Rebel Troopers! Who the hell knows by now..

  • i'm a big starwars fan to and collecting a lot of action figures how much would you say that you have spend on everything, and how many action figures would you say you have?

  • Do you mean for this display or overall?

  • AWESOME! The smoke affect was very smart. Building thing from where?
