I'd think Nanny would have kind of wanted the others to get the chicken pox, too. It's much better to get it early on. It can be fatal once you reach a certain age. I guess that wouldn't be appropriate in a children's show, though. And I'm sure Nanny didn't want eight sick children to take care of all at once either.

But Piggy herself does not show the chicken pox.

So she should be dancing with the red spots on her denoting she has the pox.

Either an error, or in their imagination they can imagine nothing is wrong with them.

I had chicken pox when I was 4.

Nanny must have already had chicken pox if she can touch Piggy. Once you've had them, you usually won't have them again because your body usually builds up an immunity to them. But she's right about staying away from Piggy, chicken pox are very contagious.

It did not seem fair in this episode. Piggy got the chicken pox and no one was allowed near her. But in an earlier episode everyone was allowed near Scooter when he had a cold. I understand. Nobody really wants to get sick.

Maybe Nanny thought pox was more dangerous than scooter's cold so kids couldn't go near piggy.

I was seven on my birthday and got them. Summer, so I didnt have to worry about school. Don't remember it being too bad, but I do have scars from them. At least Im assuming it was from chicken pox.

absolutely, everything during developmental stages contributes to one's personality. along the same lines, i loved Jaws/Star Wars as a kid and thought it hilarious when the shark or Darth showed up on muppet babies ;) it's all very endearing and leaves us with warm, sweet memories ;)

I was 6 when i had the chicken pox. i was out for a week and 1/2 but thanks to the Muppet Babies, i didn't mind staying in bed!^_^
