@aysharemei I am sure you lost your wallet to nice people, but I've seen that scenario plenty of times before here in the US. I've seen people run out of stores to help return something to someone. I've seen lost and found used hundreds of times a day at theme parks. But I would never accredit that to the people of the US.
Similarly, I think it's a bad idea and pretty naive to express how an entire people are due to one experience.

@310BPM if you are a smoker DONT move to japan, even if you can locate the prices are REDICULOUSLY high, if you wanna go to a smoke friendly countyr in asia, choose Indonesia, technically you get the death penulty but noone really will, you could go to the philipines but you wownt get paid very well there.

Bullshit! if you lose your wallet with a lot of money in there, let's say Y300,000, you still having a chance to get it back (with the money) depending on the person who will take it, but most of the time you're gonna lose your money. in other countries the chances of getting it back is lower, but when we're talking about bags and cell phones, the chances of getting them back are so as high as in Japan, just because a phone has no value if you can't make calls! stop saying bullshit please!
