Let's make a scientific experiment, find out if Allah exists.
We give them 1 month to leave Mecca, then nuke it. If Allah protects Mecca we convert to Islam. If not, then perhaps at least the more intelligent among the Muslims will drop out from Islam.
The fanatics can go and pray inside their "holy" mosque and wait for the bomb.

From what I read, the reports of spread of Chernobyl radiation were highly exaggerated. Appeared to be mostly hysteria.
I think that nuclear scientists both in Israel and the United States would benefit greatly from having a new testing ground. There are rumors of new kinds of H-bobs without fission trigger, there are neutron bombs, many new inventions. What better testing ground than Mecca?

The reason it couldn't be kept was because Sweden and Finland detected the radiation in their countries after the aerial spread.Few days later it also reached lower Balkans.I think i still have the data from detections of iodine-131 and Cs-137 in my country from those days.I was studying that in my university years.
The real point is to remove shit from the planet, not add a different kind of it.We have way better options than nukes.

At the same time, there is no other weapon that comes even close to the nukes when it comes to destructive the power. I think that Swedes and Fins were just hysterical.
Hiroshima bomb is estimated to have produced 400 times less nuclear pollution than Chernobyl.
Also nukes tend to produce isotopes with much shorter half-lives (more radioactive)
Finally an H-bomb without fission may be relatively clean.

There are questions on whether SA can meet its oil exports and that its production capability is heavy in decline.
