I remember playing this game all the time in 2004, bit unfortunate that i traded it in.

I bought this game at a car-boot sale, i liked music games and i still enjoy them now so i had a go at it. Harmonix needs to make more games like this, instead of sticking to the genre if rock, because i barely listen to that genre of music ;] more freezepop :D

The thing I miss the most was the tunnel effect. On Amp you sometimes get stuck without an autoblaster and have to jump like 6 tracks. Meaning your combo is lost.

That's what Auto-blaster is for. It saves the track as long as you use it after a fall. No cheat, just standard tactic. It would lower your score a little since he missed out on a Freestyle there.

I used to think this was one of the worst songs in the game. But it was one of those things that you just end up liking after being forced to play it 4,000,000,000 times.

I got 4 bars on all songs except for the last three... consmonant zero, komputer kontroller, and the last song that was non-bonus... it was techno and went at around 180 bpm can't remember the name lol.

In my opinion, it's the best song in there so far for me. Still have the last tier to do, but this game just seems so fitting with techno. If they made one with Freezepop exclusively I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But then again, I'd buy any other new FreQ game in a heartbeat. :P

No, after the freestyle the combo stays visible but the score for the track is not there. So you end up getting 0 x 8 points (0) which resets the combo. There goes a lot of points. D:

actually frequency was the original and this is the sequal, which is easy to tell if you play them both as this game plays much better. And he beat my high score on that song by 30 points! =( Now I gotta go pratice and hope I get more score doublers than he did ;)

Oh and I was thinking, if it wasn't for them figuring out how to make these types of games with amplitude would guitar hero ever have gotten popular? Like if it played like frequency I think it would have been a major flop.

its actually preety sweet, you play one track of the song at a time per section, and when you get that part you go onto a different track and play a different instrument. wwhen your done it turns out to be a song. and if you want you can remix and make your own drums and lead tracks. Unless only frequency(the sequal) can do that?
