One time, I tried to make my own Reese's peanut butter cups by dipping a Hershey bar into Reese's flavored peanut butter. Now I can make the magic happen on my own.
I just made these! they're in the freezer right now! I have to say, her peanut butter mix was much runnier than mine so I added a little bit of milk to loosen it up. That seemed to do the trick. Everything else about the recipe went very well!
This music sound like the music from the end scene from The Craigslist Killer. Anyways, this looks SOO delicious! Im going to make this, wrap it with some ribbon and a pretty bag, and give it to my teachers for Christmas :D
I made this tonight and the peanut butter mixture wasn't even close to being as loose as you show it on the video. After adding the powdered sugar and peanut butter to the melted butter it basically formed a ball. I had to add some more butter to loosen it up a bit and could only add a few graham cracker crumbs. To get it as loose as you did I would have needed to add another stick of butter. Why do you think that happened?
@BigB0882 It sounds like too much powdered sugar was added. It's 1.75 (1 cup+3/4 cup) powdered sugar. The graham crackers is 3/4 cup AFTER it's crushed into crumbs. Also, if you tried halving or doubling the recipe, some measurements may have been off.
@BigB0882 Yeah, good question. Besides, I distinctly recall that Reese's has chocolate ON THE BOTTOM, too. Looks like this candy-mogul-wannabee couldn't crack THAT part of the formula. So sad.
... originally i thought this was like a protein bar recipe cuz thats usually the only time of bar recipes i look at... and even though i feel fatter just for watching this video that looks amazing! especially because im a fiend for reeses... sigh.. oh and i agree with the guy below me. "no homo"
The best tutorial! I plan to make it but with milk chocolate AND I shall put a layer of chocolate under too! So much better than making the cups-too much work! love it!!!!
@AsianMusicMan123 Yes, it is very possible. Only that you may have to make more chocolate mixture to cover both sides. So it not a cup, not a bar, but a sandwich? :)
@aglol123 Hmm...I don't think ice cream cones would be a very good substitute because of the different density. It would be best to stick to the original recipe. But hey, if the cones work, let me know ;)
@LimitedSickness I would have to let you be the judge of that. Because this is homemade, it's not going to taste exactly like Reese's, but very similar. Thanks for asking :)
I tried this. it works so well!!!!!!!!!!

@BigB0882 i think we share the same problem! i measure all the ingredients properly!

Has anyone tried this? Does it really taste like Reeses peanut butter? The peanut butter part is the most important.

@BigB0882 Yeah, good question. Besides, I distinctly recall that Reese's has chocolate ON THE BOTTOM, too. Looks like this candy-mogul-wannabee couldn't crack THAT part of the formula. So sad.

ok so the recipie calls for unsalted butter and reg. butter...which butter do u add to the graham crackers and which to the chocolate chips?
mizschaefer06 4 months ago
@mizschaefer06 Use 1/2 cup unsalted butter for the graham cracker mixture, and 1/4 cup unsalted butter for the chocolate chips.
joyceyvonna 4 months ago
Two questions:
What editor do you use? (It looks simple enough for my vidoes!)
~and~
Do you need graham crackers? I don't really like them.
