is it necessary to put "LE" as past tense if u already put "zuo tian" (yesterday) in the sentence?

and there is some other cases, where`s the latin transcription sonds very different from the usual sounds.

That's how we pronounce the letter "q" in our system called PinYin! Remember Latin is Latin and Chinese is Chinese! ;o)
