Even if it's too late, I would suggest doing the 100 coins on Star 3,4 or 6 for Shifting Sand Land. You could so it with Star 5 but the problem is, you need to go inside the pyramid and you can't get out to get the 8 red coin star... So, yeah.

There's 136 coins total in course 8. 74 outside, 62 outside. All that according to GameFAQs. ^_^

I think you should just save the 100 coin star for last on this level, or do it when you're going inside the pyramid for the last time, since I don't think you can get it without going inside the pyramid, as there aren't enough coins outside it.

i would say do the 100 coins with the 6th star cause like some others say the red´s are all outside, but collect every single coin outside you can get because thee are only 136 in this level and you can get 40 from enemies so kill some goombas and bob-ombs while running through the level

You mentioned on another vid that Audacity could be causing slowdown but you didn't know where to find Sound Recorder on Windows. Well if it's not under Accessories->Entertainment then check My Computer->C Drive->WINDOWS->system32->sndr­ec32.exe

I would wager Pyramid Puzzle would be the best to get coins, as it requires you to get coins in the pyramid. Don't do it on the Red Coins one cuz all the red coins are outside the pyramid.
