Suggestion: try it with Ivory II, and the 18 layer Steinway, with all the resonances and extra samples turned on. Akoustik PIano was great 6 years ago, but the piano VI world has moved on. Your performance was very nice; the piano-sound is just a little too sterile in the melody range. It's a difficult piece, but you played it very well. I think you'll be surprised what Ivory II will do for you.
haha I laughed cause I have the same keyboard as you. nice performance! but I learned that for Realy Piano playing you CAN NOT use a digital keyboard. The velocity/touch/weight is too different to learn on. I am switching now to a Kawai K3 Piano, which is 10x times better for learning. btw the keyboard is a VMK-188
Wow man, it sounds like the recorded version in my CD that's how good it sounds coz I listened to it with earphones, keep up the good work and don't listen to the haters :))
Ele tocou maravilhosamente bem, tendo em vista a falta de um instrumento adequado, nota-se a dificuldade de se obter um som real de piano, o mais foi lindo só faltou um piano acústico...parabens...!! good playing...!
@martinisipe. I have this keyboard. I like it. It is solidly built with nice weighted keys. Though not perfect when compared to a real acoustic grand, its still good. It is always hard to tell what a keyboard is like from videos and reviews. It would be nice if such a place existed, where they where all set-up and you could go and compare them (dream on).
The sound is generated by the quality of the software used. What did you find wrong with the Keyboard?
I agree. I use it with Ivory Italian Grand and the combination is superb. I can't think of anything bad to say, except that the black keys move sideways a bit. It annoys me sometimes, but doesn't affect the playability.
@DonswatchingtheTube you know im looking forward to buy one of this, the vmk 161, the first thing im looking is the piano hammer action sensibility, can you tell me your experience about it, thanks
FGKLEIN12: I've had it for about three years now and I could easily have it for another three or more. I use it purely for home use: learning. I don't know what its like to gig with I'm not at that stage. The key board is very well made, though I didn't find the manual that helpful. I think you should go for the 88 Keys.
Without pedal, this sounds really bad, specially for those that are used to piano and listening chopin etudes .But congrats for the challenge , you can prove that electronic devices are better than we might think
I recorded the audio straight to hard disk whilst, at the same time, recording video using a mini dv camera. I then synced both tracks using Ulead Media Studio Pro 8 video editor.
thanks for sharing. i love Chopin, especially the etudes. Do you like the VMK 188? i am looking to buy one but don't know of a place around me that has one i can test before buying. how is the action? the rest of the build construction? anyway, i would love to see more videos. thanks!
My previous keyboard was a Fatar SL880 which my son now uses. I prefer the the pitch bend and mod wheels on that keyboard. But the VMK188+ is much better in all other respects. It has a firm action which is graded across the keyboard with keys at the bottom having bigger weights in than the ones at the top, the idea being that this reflects more accurately how a real piano would feel/respond.
I would like to post more videos but will need to do more practice first!
expression IS WAY off, it was written by a sickly man, not a methed out guy

I'm currently learning this, I hate the part at 1:20 because my hands are short and the left hand is really difficult too

Even though it's a digital piano, it's still beautiful.

you need a way better keyboard. If your looking for one I would recommend the yamaha p140 and a pedal.

Probably because of...long fingernails? But I saw his/her hands in the video, and he/she didn't have long fingernails.
