  • Did she really invent the concept of radar?

  • One tends to forget what a wonderful singer Tony Bennett has been over the years - until you hear something like this, but one never forgets the beauty Hedy Lamarr projected up there on the silver screen. What a knockout.

  • What a most beautiful woman. I believe she was born in Austria....

  • only ava gardner was equaley as beautiful as hedy, taylor just was not in there league.

  • At the same time In'54 I met this Girl who had just seen

Kismet" with her ate. Then love took over, and ended up as a heartbreaker, So when I ever hear ths song, her image of beauty and memories follow. I should of followed Enzios last line in' "Some Enchanted Evening" Once you have found her never let her go.

  • STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HERMOSOTEMA DIGNO DE SER ESCUCHADO ELDIA DELJUICIOFINAL

  • I do believe that Hedy Lamarr's sublime and even supreme beauty is an irrefutable evidence of the existence of God.

  • beatiful hermosa women

  • BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL.....

  • She is gorgeous.

  • That's Hedly!

  • One of my all-time fave oldies. Theme from the 1955 musical film Kismet starring Vic Damone.

  • A TRUELY STUNNING AND BEAUTIFUL WOMAN....

A FANTASTIC RENDITION OF THIS SONG BY MR T.BENNETT...

    Patrick (Ireland).

  • amazing beauty! realy beautiful woman of all times!

  • Don´t you think Hedy Lamarr looks a little bit like Sarah Brightman?

  • She was also rather smart-She developed a broadcasting technique that later was developed into modern cellular telephones.

  • HAHAHA Thats funny chg657! An actress invented cell phones? LOL!!

  • Well, not quite. She co-developed a technique that cell phones use to work-in the early '40s. It wasn't practical using the technology of the time, but was after modern micro circuitry was developed. She was a very interesting woman, aside from her beauty.

  • @chg657 correct, she owns the patent to "spread spectrum", which is now used for wireless communication like mobile-phones and WiFi .. back then this technology was actually used so the germans (that she fled from) couldn't jam the torpedo-signals..

  • actually to correct myself: she wasn't really fleeing from the germans, but her husband

  • Well, I think she also had a bitter hatred for the Nazis, as she was Jewish. Her husband, even tho he was partially Jewish himself, was "cozy" w/the Nazis.

  • @chg657 That's absolutely correct! She did invent the schematics of what is now the modern cell phone, spurred by her deep hatred of Nazis. She met some head honcho at the pentagon at a dinner party; they got to talking and that's how the co-developing came into play.

  • @ihearttinytimYou have somewhat misquoted chg657, she coinvented a concept of what is now known as frequency hopping. It was apparently inspired by a pianola, the thought was that if a radio receiver and transmitter were both tuned together in a predefined sequence they would be able to pass traffic without interception. This is commonly done in radio systems these days but was not readily practical at the time.

  • @g0fvt All that... and brains, too.

  • 1968

Viet Nam a girl who look like Heady Lamar would write me and this song reminds me of her. Thanks for the post

  • just wonderfull!

  • Lovely times for the theater. Lots of wonderful actors. What roll models. And Frank simartra singing. Wonderful tape.

  • @gtgale1

That was Tony Bennet singing this. This is my favorite song by him. Rags to Riches and then Boulevard of Broken Dreams round out my top 3 Bennet songs.

  • As the years went on she turned into a total recluse, there was an interesting tidbit in her obituary when she passed away. A neighbor had stated the only time they ever saw her leave her house was late at night with a cane and flash light to check her mail. Kinda cute queen of dramatics even until the end. RIP Ms. Lamarr you were truly an amazing actress/great beauty. And yet so underrated.

  • Breathless beauty, simply breathless.

  • omg she was sooo prettyyyyyy :))

When i grow up i wanna look like her ;) lol

  • Delila....

  • What a great film...excellent!...she is one of my very favorite actresses!!!

  • stunning!

  • what? avril lavigne? :-| I just died of being upset :((

  • @xxxAngelikaxxx

I am not so sure about Avril Lavigne. But you are right. In some pics she does kind of look like Vivian Leigh. Not bad though. Most people who know of Vivian Leigh, dont know who Avril Lavigne is. And most people who know of Avril Lavigne, dont know who Vivian Leigh is. I personally prefer the looks of women from the Silent films to the early 60's the best. Not many soze 2's from that era. Most were 6 to 8. Real women.

  • @novusmundi

    Size 2's*

  • WOW! Those eyes! All the rest are just gorgeous accessories. Stare at those eyes and you can get lost.

  • Yes, check that look at 1:10 ... I am going to watch again and again.

  • Good Lord, I see what you mean. What wouldn't you give to have someone like her look at you that way?

  • I would give IT/me, all of IT! I just watched it again and I will tell you, I get speechless and on!!! Life is good, isn't it? :-) Thanks for the support!!

  • I know - the song, the eyes AND the slightly open lips (besides all the rest!!!!) ... I think I know that feeling ... 'Good Lord', yes!! :-)

  • @CesarBrauer

To quote Fernando Lamas, " She looks marvelous, absolutely marvelous." lol

  • @CesarBrauer

How do you insert the time in a postthat can be clicked on that sends you to that time in the video like with this time you put in?

  • I think it was the first and only time I did it, if I remember it right just type in the time (as you see the blue 1:10 in the post and now). See if it works.

  • @CesarBrauer

  • Borodin Rules!!!

  • He sure does.

  • The most beautiful actress EVER

  • Lovely tribute to an irresistible and rare beauty. "She was enough to make strong men faint" says Lana Turner in her memoirs (the only face Lana entuses over in details). George Sanders too.

  • Excellent. Thank you.

  • Beautiful Lady w/

    Beautiful Effects

  • She(Hedy) had the face of the century, now we know what Helen of Troy must have looked like

her face could certainly launch quite a few ships...

  • Positively the best video of Hedy so far, I could just stare at that face forever. Unbelievable. Keep up the great work. The music by Tony Bennett was most fitting.

  • Quite a captivating Beauty...

  • She was both a beautiful and intellectual woman. She and composer George Antheil co-invented a device to make radio signals broadcast by warships harder for the enemy to detect. In other words, she held a US patent!- Hedy was quite "heady."

  • It is spread spectrum where the transmission is spread over many different frequencies and then reassembled by the receiver.

  • yes, that was what it was. Thanks!

  • incredibly beautiful, ive seen hardly any of those photos before. great tribute

  • Hedy Lamarr at one time was noted as the most Beautiful Woman in the World. This video done so beautifully well by Muirmaiden certainly proves it. 5*****
