  • @crazygrl244 thank you , I've been afraid of some video ,but your documentary video encouraged me thanks a lot ^_^

  • How is your knee doing? I may have to get one for my left knee ACL. Have you made a full recovery? Are there any extra surgeries you have to get? Thank you for the video, very helpful to the injured.

  • @armeghetto my knee is doing great i was released in september so yes i have made a full recovery and haven't had any problems. and no there was no extra surgeries just one! good luck with everything!:)

  • Thanks so much for this video:) im thinking of having surgery for my acl tear but im really scared:/ this really helped alot:)

  • I think i tore my acl and i am getting an mri soon but i would also have to get a TTT to fix my bone structure.... how long were u on crutches? and how long did u have the full brace?

  • @synchrolilie for a week and that brace i had on that video was only a week then they took of that sock and ice pack and i wore the brace for like a month

  • I've just had a ACL done last week....feeling great and positive ...and it will take me about 5 or 6 months to be back normal as I used to be....playing team handball game ;-)

I like your video...all the best from Kuwait City x

  • I know how you feel I tore my MCL about a year ago playing soccer. i didnt know i did until my knee started to hurt really bad. my doctor said I was very lucky because I was about to tare my ACL if I did that I would of had surgery and been in physical theropy for three months. it's been almost a year and I have physical theropy one time every two weeks. I'm making some progress but not a lot wish me luck.

  • They should have given you nausea patches to help with the nausea. Im surprised theyre making u walk already :O i just got surgery on my ankle 2 days ago i am not allowed to walk on my foot for 4-6weeks then i start PT and then another 4 to 6weeks i can start slightly walking on it but i still need to use support so in bout 8-12 weeks ill be walking fully on my ankle but ill still be in a walking cast. did the give you a medicine ball catheter? it numbs ur whole leg. hope your feeling better ^^

  • u gave me alot of confidence caz i have the same surgery and its on tuesday and im just freaking out badly

  • @cindyxoxable awh well don't be it is a little tough in the beginning but you'll be fine :))

  • I'm having surgery Monday on my meniscus, and im scared to death. I tore it playing soccer like a month ago.

  • @larakp1999 meniscus? awwhh don't worry about it at all ! first week might be hard but i think it only takes a couple months for the meniscus to heal:)

  • @larakp1999 It went great;other than the first day :(

Day 5 now; my brother said the funniest part was afterwards I was talking about my surgery and fell asleep while i was talking and like a minute later i was yelling in my sleep calling someone a 5 letter word that starts with a B and the nurse that waas in there thought i was talking to her. He said it was really funny

  • I tore my ACL, medial meniscus, and lateral meniscus during gymnastics almost 7 months ago. I had the surgery and physical therapy which were really intense but now almost 7 months later I'm back to doing gymnastics and am doing great!!

  • @Gymnast56930 that is great! good to hear :)

  • @Gymnast56930 Funny, I hurt my knee in gymnastics too. They think I tore my meniscus but my doctor can't figure out whats wrong so I'm having surgery to find out whats wrong and get it fixed :(. The things we gymnasts do to our knees, haha

  • I had this operation.I have to wear a cast for 6 weeks.I am on week 3 now and then when I get it off I have to start physio. So it is a long process.

  • @Paul69416 very long process. good luck!!

  • The surgery went well, it's just physical therapy now. I feel okay I just want to get back to dancing .

  • Oh crap! I had ACL surgery on June 17th 2011 and now it ok but I about play basketball soon I'm scared lol . Do you think I can re tear ACL??? Plz!! Tell me!!

  • yes you can re tear it be careful!! make sure to wear your brace you don't want to risk anything! its okay im terrified to hurt mine again too!

  • @crazygrl244 OH! thanks! oh man haha well ill be careful then.

  • @TheCrazy243 after about 8 weeks after surgery its about the same risk of rupture as before you injured it the first time

  • I have my surgery on Friday and I'm kind of nervous

  • @eagandancer18 How you feel now? hows surgery?

  • What was the worst part of tearing your ACL?

  • @southsidesoxsidefan the first week right after the surgery was probably the worst!

  • @crazygrl244 For me it was not being able to do any activities. How did you tear your ACL?

  • @southsidesoxsidefan that's another horrible part too...and if u watched the video i said cheer practice...tumbling.. how about you?

  • @crazygrl244 I must not have caught that. First time I tore it was wear and tear. Second time was running. For me, the worst part was being in the immobilizer and not being able to do any activities.

  • I just got surgery done for exactly that, except my left knee. I tore my ACL and Medial Meniscus skateboarding. Sorry you tore yours on my birthday haha. Hows recovery going for you? Im still in phase I physical therapy. I didn't get surgery until about 4 months after the initial injury. They diagnosed it as a sprain at first, haha. Anyways, best of luck with recovery!

  • @DarkestHourRock i actually am all recovered now as of last week! and wow that sucks ! hopefully you've been having a good recovery good luck and thanks:)

  • @crazygrl244 Oh nice! I hope mine recovers as fast as yours does, all this time being inactive is killing me. And thanks, i hope it goes well too

  • im getting surgery today in about 10 hours. Was that right after surgery where you were practicing walking up steps with the crutches?

  • @Hectorrskates yes it was...good luck!!

  • I hope my knee isnt as painful on the 2nd day.I have to have surgery on sept 29th this year at 1:30pm.Im having the torn part of my miniscus taken out.Luckly its a arthoscpoic surgery.Ive had the tear since 2009 and finally getting it fixed finally.

  • @dancer22793 i had arthroscopic surgery and it only took a half hour:) good luck with everything!

  • @crazygrl244 Ok thats good. Thanks :)

  • @crazygrl244 today I had my surgery.I had to be at the hospital at 11am.it went by really slow till 12:30pm when they started get me ready for surgery.I went into surgery at 1:15pm & got out at 2:20pm & went to the wake up room & recovery room.I found out that my meniscus was not torn but there was a tear in my acl very small so they were able to fix it.I kept waking up & falling asleep at 2:45,3,3:15pm.I was able to go to the room where i was at 3:30 till I was able togo home at 4pm

  • I tore my ACL twice. Once in January of 2009 and again in January of 2010 along with my meniscus, so I know how you feel.

  • @southsidesoxsidefan oh my goddd...how did you do it? doing it a second time must be TERRIBLE....that is something i dread from happening :(

  • I dislocated mine in cheer too. After surgery, its about 3 months post op. I should be completely healed by now, but I'm worse than ever. I might have to have more surgery..glad your recovery was better!

  • @divagirl101xo oh my gosh! that is terrible ! i would hate to be getting worse. i hope everything is alright and gets better. thank you:)

  • owwy that doesnt sound to nice...

  • I tore a ligament and fractured my bone and dislocated my knee all at once and i had knee surgery and for surgery that had to remove bone and repair my ligament and after surgery for my i was in so much pain! it was almost as bad as actually injuring my self, and i had to drag my leg cause i could barely walk on it even with crutches! that was in may and im still in a leg brace that makes me look like a robot. I know how you feel with this, NOT FUN! gonna take a full year to recover for me :(

  • @lilmissyblondiegurl oh gosh! not fun at all....im almost healed and its been about 5 months! hopefully you have a super fast recovery:)

  • @crazygrl244 thank you!!!

  • You reminded me of my surgery I recently had on April 8th 2011 with the Physiotherapist teaching how to step on step grounds etc.... I am on recovering stage right now. Can't wait to start back soccer. Anywaz hope you'll have a speedy recovery. God bless..

    Helmy

  • @helmyj aww, have a fast recovery!! and thank you very much :)

  • @crazygrl244 Any tips you wanna share with me? Excercises or anything? Could use your help :D

  • @helmyj haha well sure! you probably have done everything i have done since your ahead of me but...leg lifts help a lot! they made the muscles around your knee stronger...i also hear that pineapple is good for healing so if u like pineapple you should buy one haha:)

  • @crazygrl244 When did you get your operation? Mine was 8th April 2011. I'll post a video for you on what kinda excercise my physio recommends. May help your recovery as well.

  • @helmyj mine was March 24th. and thank you! :)

  • How long do they say you're laid up for? I have to get the same surgery in less than a week and I'm dreading it. Thankss

  • @steveo8796 well, you're really laid up for like a week because they put you in this locked out brace and that's probably the worst. of course i don't know if your doctor will do that to you but it depends.. but once they unlock it you can pretty much walk anywhere with the brace just no sports. takes about 6 months to a year to get back to those depending on which sport you do. good luck with everything!

  • Oh my goodness how are you feeling now?

  • @Shawn9081 very well! thank you for asking :)

  • heal fast eden! <33 youu
