They did at a NYC show a Roseland which was the last night on the tour where goldfinger was leaving as with Dog Eat Dog so they did his song but it was more intense they had a pie fight on stage and some fans got up on the stage.interesting note if you watch the "Don't Speak" vid the live footage used in it was at that show you'll see Gwen all covered on food.Great show as this is took
@j0phus there was no under lying subtext. im not a dipshit. ill just spell out my original comment so you get it.
I love No Doubt. I love Gwens Voice, Gwen is talented as hell and was friends with Bradley Nowell huge respect. After she went and did pop like "hollaback girl" i lost some of that. its not good music it has no meaning. But shes awesomes as a person and graced us with No Doubt.
You say Hannah Montana, I say The Rolling Stones
You say Owl City, I say Led Zeppelin
You say Jonas Brothers, I say The Beatles
You say Justin Bieber, I say Queen
You say Taylor Swift, I say AC/DC
95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music thumb this up, then copy & paste it to at least five videos. Don't let the spirit of rock and roll die
Of course it's fun, Ska is all about having fun. :) Paul wrote this song, and none of the other Beatles liked it. John reportedly hate it.
He too life way too seriously.
Being serious is important, but life is so sad and depressing that every once in a while you just need to say obla di obla da and have some fun.
I am a huge Beatles fan. I am also a huge Third Wave Ska fan; Reel Big Fish is my favorite band, and I am waiting for their cover. It'll come eventually.
This cover was great, but the guy who sings the second chorus is awful. Off-key the whole way through. Would have preferred Gwen :) But over all, great tune :)
This isn't blashemy this is just No Doubt having fun. The Beatles don't give a damn about No Doubt performing they're song so why the hell should their fans act so damn butt hurt about it.
@daveclarkfurther They did this song at the end of every show and they'd bring out everyone. When Weezer opened for them all those guys came out and that's how they closed. When they go on tour again, you'll likely see something very similar. I've seen them do this 4 times.
to anyone saying its blasphemy, the beatles original was better etc: its not blasphemy - one: Obla Di Obla Da was not written by beatles second: this song comes from Jamaica (from the band called Inner Circle) and it has mild ska flavour to it. ND just did in a proper second wave ska beat. thats all there is to it
@cheyyen Wrong. It was written by Lennon/McCartney. Inner Circle didn't even exist until the year that the Beatles wrote this song, and they're only known for that song that was used as the theme for "Cops." Plus, the Beatles song in question came out in 1968 (again, the year that Inner Circle was formed), and Inner Circle had no recorded output until 1974.
@heccubus check also songs like "Sweat (A la la la long)" (they also very famous for this and bad boys as you said or " We A Rockers"... but I admit that i was wrong
anda a la mierda ¬ no tenes ni idea de lo buenos qe son los covers de no doubt. hacele un favor al mundo y suicidate :) asi no jodes mas con tus palabras pelotudas :)
yea really i saw some band doing note for note covers of a bunch of old songs and IT SUCKED. why not throw an extra guitar solo or jam in a song?if u do it exactlylike the original why not just listen to the cd perfected by the writers?
