I love No Doubt. I love Gwens Voice, Gwen is talented as hell and was friends with Bradley Nowell huge respect. After she went and did pop like "hollaback girl" i lost some of that. its not good music it has no meaning. But shes awesomes as a person and graced us with No Doubt.

Being serious is important, but life is so sad and depressing that every once in a while you just need to say obla di obla da and have some fun.

I am a huge Beatles fan. I am also a huge Third Wave Ska fan; Reel Big Fish is my favorite band, and I am waiting for their cover. It'll come eventually.

@daveclarkfurther They did this song at the end of every show and they'd bring out everyone. When Weezer opened for them all those guys came out and that's how they closed. When they go on tour again, you'll likely see something very similar. I've seen them do this 4 times.

to anyone saying its blasphemy, the beatles original was better etc: its not blasphemy - one: Obla Di Obla Da was not written by beatles second: this song comes from Jamaica (from the band called Inner Circle) and it has mild ska flavour to it. ND just did in a proper second wave ska beat. thats all there is to it

Inner Circle didn't even exist until the year that the Beatles wrote this song, and they're only known for that song that was used as the theme for "Cops." Plus, the Beatles song in question came out in 1968 (again, the year that Inner Circle was formed), and Inner Circle had no recorded output until 1974.
