power generated would be about 16.8kwh, almost twice the other example... given that theres alot of very light wind days in summer and tonnes of wind in winter i reckon panarama's wayout, i'm not even sure the windsave guy realised how he was being trapped...
so imagine for siplicitys sake there's 4 days in a year, if the wind was 6m/s for those four days then our windsave would make 100w x 24hr x 4 days. which would equal 9.6kwh of leccy for an average wind speed of 6m/s. but the wind doesn't blow at a constant speed all year. so imagine on one day there was 2ms wind, another two days there was 6m/s and then on the forth there was 10m/s, the average is still 6m/s, but (given that 2m/s porbably would generate anything) the power would generated pto
i don't think this is fair on windsave, 10quid my bum, the mean wind speed is 6ish m/s but the effieciency of most wind turbines climbs rapidly beyond these wind speeds... yes a turbine of this size might make <100w at 6m/s but at 7m/s it making nearly 200w and at 10m/s over 500w.... panarama don't understand stats, or they're choosing not to be sensationalist... example in my next post
now, to run this as a motor and have a pretty huge fan in the summer, or a wind tunnel

How many terriwatts can you build for $819 billion? The US uses 3.3 terriwatts of power.
