btw, control-shift-i for reflow (shortcut doesn't work with the "autofocus on URL bar" setting enabled)
and swiping from the left without lifiting the finger allows (no clicking in the cursor button) you to trigger on-hover behavior and basicly move the mouse cursor around (for those flash thingies that move when you move the mouse for example)
And I don't get it... you don't like when things are too configurable but you don't like how all the things you install goes under more(aplications) so you can find them all in one place... :-o
Its to keep the first aplication screen nice and tidy and always the same so you can quickly find what you are looking for!
about the sending files through skype, the method shown was for sharing pictures etc through social networks like facebook twitter etc.. to send files through skype maybe it's when you have skype conversation with someone you can actually send the file through there. I am not sure about that, but for me sharing through social networks it's different if you want to send file through skype cos skype is not like facebook or flickr.
Yeah, but what about the iphones numerous amounts of apps and it is also a lot slimmer than the N900. I like both phones, the browser is very good on the nokia.. Still confused though..
both of them have their pro's off course. But the n900 is really open-source and everyone can create apps for it and publish them so I do believe that it's going to get a lil' closer to the Apple App Store.
the power button and then unlock is to show the clock, or messages and so on. you see them by pressing the power button, and if you want to use then the device you can swipe to unlock...
I would définatly like to see a very nice (if possible) 'conversation'-integrated hotmailway of chatting or a nice multitaskable hotmailclient. Is there already the possibility to use hotmail as a chat? Or the possibility to use it for mail?
Did I see right- the GPS gives you the exact adress even if you are indoors?
Is it really that good? I heard that the Samsung i8910 has a GPS signal even indoors and since they share the same chip that might be true, even if I can hardly believe it.
well I never had the device in my hand so i don't know but you could try pressing there in a random app where you can't see the background. If it really ís a backbutton it'd be a pro but there's also a back icon on the upper right corner i thought.
Im selling my N900. Anyone interested? Serius

Holy crap 4 ways to unlock and you actually make it sound like a bad thing... well here goes:
power button: You just want to see clock and if you have messages... and slider (option to start using device)
Unlock button: quick way to open and start using device.
Camera slider: eh... you want to use camera right away.
Keyboard: Lets you use keyboard right away... If you then start typing it opens your contacts according to what name you started typing.

I think it's a realy handy thing cuz you don't have the unlock the phone but can still see everything.
I also found myself pressing the powerbutton on my (cough) N73 'bout 25 times a day wich is a lot more than how many times I unlock my phone.

(perhaps it'll be available as a download)

I would like to see if it's possible to use the chat-function on facebook with this phone! Sadly it's the chat program most of my friends use!

There is a plug-in coming for Facebook chat .

yes! I hope they create some native apps. I dont want to rely on full websites for facebook, etc.

right side of the screen a back button?
Pressing anywhere on the background where you can see it(like in open apps) will take you back to the desktop;)
Very nice vid though!;)

Thanks for that. I still have the feeling that there's a capacative strip on the RHS but I guess i'm just clicking free space as you said.
