  • I have this problem... anyone know the solution yet?

  • I wish Nintendo continued to support Wi-Fi USB Connector (powered by Buffalo) but I'm being led to believe it's being treated like Windows 95 (obsolete to the original creators... but still being used by some. On that note, although I haven't successfully done it myself *yet* for anyone still using Windows 95. I'm being led to believe that despite common knowledge that you need Windows 98 SE2 for USB functionality, I believe the minimum req is Windows 95 V2.1 (ex.(4.00.950B).NoLetter=Original95

  • My brother has a 32 bit XP PC. That's about the only place I can still access Wi-Fi via DS Lite (the security on the internet at my house in not supported via DS Lite (WPA2-PSK). DS Lite only supports "Open" connections (no security) or WEP (outdated basic protection - which was more or less discontinued starting 2004.. I really noticed the drop off 2007 onwards)

I've also encountered several other errors other then the common one in the above video. I feel your pain

  • To all PC users beyond XP:

The adapter was originally intended for Windows XP (32 bit ONLY)

v1.06 & v1.07 were supposed to have some Vista capability - however as I myself was unable to install on my Vista PC (and I tried ALL versions from v1.07 - v1.01 with full uninstalls with revo uninstaller (Google it ;) it's VERY handy and available in portable version. There's a free version) I have my doubts.

If you have Windows 7 - you are out of luck. (Unless Nintendo releases a new version update...)

  • I have the same problem and i have windows Vista please help us lol

  • i have the same problem very anoying plz anyone help

  • What operating system are you running on?

    If XP, plug it in.

If Vista, it only works on 32-bit OS's, not 64-bit. There are ways around it, use google to find them.

If Vista 32-Bit, are you running the install as an administrator?

If yes ^, plug it in.

If you're running Windows 7, the current "Official" patches don't work and are not supported by Windows 7. There are ways of getting it to work using a 32-bit OS for Windows 7, but not for 64-bit OS's again.

  • @AnOvaryPunch Continued.

To deretmine what OS you're running click Start > Right-Click My Computer > Properties > Windows Edition. From there you can also look under the "System" section of the properties page, and see what type of OS you are running, located under ^ > Propeties > System > System Type.

There ARE ways of getting this to work on 64-bit OS's, but I'm still learning how. Google it to try to figure it out yourselves. The main method is using a Virtual Machine, I.E VMware player.

  • yes easy put your nintendo wifi usb connector in the computer before you do it

  • @Jake79facebook doesn't work.

  • YOOOO, DUDE. WHATS UP?????

    same problem here >_>

  • I Have The same problem Did Someone Found A Solution For This?

  • have you fixed it yet !!!!! i have this shity problem

  • this is really wierd, but once when i forgot to turn off my firewall, the wi fi usb still worked..and i hv vista. lol i dnt get that...i thought you NEED to shut off ur firewall all the time. oh well. btw, im reading some comments and i had some of these problems b4. you hv 2 restart the computer everytime you use it after a long period of time 2 work.

    peaceeee:)

  • it will work man not kidding you just need to use the disk it came with and disable the firewall and install it with the disk but if it did not come with a disk then look at this site:

and get one that will work if it does not work try another one

BUT ONLY IF IT DID NOT COME WITH A DISK!

    :)

  • There are several ways to fix this, though they haven't worked for me yet.

    I think I'm gonna ask someone's help.

    Anyways, these are the ways

    1. Turn your firewall and anti-virus program off

    2. Check if the installation is listed in your Shared Internet list (Vista Only)

    3. Use Winsock-XPFix (though it is very safe, it rebooted my computer when using.(XP ONLY, WILL MESS UP VISTA ))

    4. It might stop working because you installed a firmware without deinstalling the one still installed.

  • please help it says unknown usb connection !!!

  • The same happens with me. I use to have wifi but now i cant connect it cuz of that error.

  • Ya for me I try to install it, but then it says there's a problem with the internet connection. And In the bottom right-hand of my screen the thing says Limited or no connectivity. Do I need a certain connetction power? The connection power is 10Mbps. Do I need higher like 54mbps?

  • my god...we are all in the same club smh AND NO ONE HAS AN ANSWER TO THIS???

  • XP. And BlaqTiger, I have Windows Service Pack 3 and it worked for me.

  • Look... This is the thing that is not shown here in the video... There is a bubble that pops up at the bottom of his screen that says that the device in the USB port is not recognized... I'm having the EXACT same problem, and I have a theory that it has to do with Windows XP server Pack 3

  • I had the same problem but I fixed it. Click on Start>My Documents>Downloads ( this will only work if you download the latest software from Nintendo's site) Click on the NWFC folder and then click on NWFC.Reg folder. Then click on the SoftAP folder and click on the icon which is a laptop with a ring round it. It will then come up with a message - clice YES. After it has finished fixing try it again. It should work then , it worked for me

I don't understand... it worked for twoo weeks whithout problems and than...the blue led doesn't works! WHY!

    WHY NINTENDO!... WHYYYYY!

  • 1st do you have anti-virus on 2nd keep your wi-fi out when you start and when that message pops up plug the wi-fi in if eather of them don't work i have no idea

  • do you have norton anti-virus sofware? i got an error when i connected to the wi-fi usb connector with my ds and wii because the internet worm protection was on so i went on enable at put a tick next to the drivers so that it would allow my ds and wii access.

    P.S I HAVE NORTON 2005.

  • heres what i did (it might be for a different issue but try it anyway)

first uninstall everything (go to my computer, right click, properties, device manager, network adapters, nintendo wifi usb) uninstall the drivers. now once thats done, if your computer has usb ports in the back (some do) try plugging it in one of them, sometimes works, if not keep re-doing everything again (uninstalling then plug it in a different usb slot) try it, if that dont work then pm me and i'll think of sumin

  • @silentboy12 Thank you so much

  • u r suppode to put the connecter in when it ask u to

  • it is in when he gets the error, he's just experiencing a bad glitch which makes the computer think that it aint connected, its happened to me
