I just love how this band is able to maintain their melodic tone and yet stay so brutal EVEN WITHOUT utilizing all these worthless gore and violence shit in their lyrics.

See, Kalmah's another great melodic death metal band but its only drawback is that the main vocal has black-metal-influenced high pitched shriek, which, I think, doesn't fit the heavily melodic sound of thus, Melodic Death metal x)

Anders of In Flames live is like a god (no offence meant to christians...or anders, dependin on how you look at it :P). He has this massive voice that just dominates the venue. In flames's instruments are perfect live, but the vocals are better. The only vocalist i know who is better live then on album.

Stanne is much better than Friden nowadays. I'm being honest, In Flames has been my favourite band for many years now, but Friden's sound has deteroriated the last few years.

BUT Friden almost always does a better job than Stanne live. Anyway, they're different singers with different styles so it's almost wrong of me to compare.
