Lil has a great voice, but song choice IS important. She did not perform that song well and part of the reason for it is because it was a bad choice to begin with. You have to have more than just a good voice to be a great singer.

in the show with her and allison. What the hell was she thinking. I think she was trying to cater, to a certain group of people. So thats why she failed out. Every week and the funny thing is she kept making the bottom 3 and she was still arguing.
This is not an issue of race and im black lil round shot her self in the foot. Lil rounds had talent! I think the girl you just dissed knows a lot about music! It doesn't look like you do! I have been singing for my entire life and so has my mother and father. What was Simon listen to when he heard this performance? I thought her rendition was absolutely beautiful. The problem I have with some of the judges is that they give the contestants conflicting advice sometimes. Sometimes they say a singer was "too serious." The next week after the singer takes their advice to heart, they will then say the song was too "self- indulgent." That's what happened with LIL. The judges confused her with their inconsistent advice.
She wasn't good. She had no runs, riffs, all her performances are done exactly like the original song. That's what make her a Karaoke Singer-she only sing along with the record and mimick. I have two words for you Nikki McKibbon-American Idol season!

It's actually because of Lil Rounds I decided to watch this season of American Idols. i watched the first season and never watched it again. So imagine after 7 years, one person on the show got me to watch this far. But yeah she is gone lol so ihave no need for this anymore hehehe.
I liked Lil Rounds from the beginning. As the contest went on, her song choices weren't great. The girl has strong vocal pipes but lacks star quality and self confidence. It was amazing to see how long her hair weave got each week. She should've done like Fantasia and just kept it (her own hair) short. I know it's wrong to say but I'm glad she's didn't win. Now she can go home and take care of her husband and three small children.
Actually overtime she got demotivated because of the negative comments she got in the beginning when she was actually doing great. They told her to tone it down and she did, and that is what cost her the entire competition; trying to apply to what they wanted. When you want so much from a person, it really kills the person who she actually is. Lil Rounds was doing WELL, until the moment they started making negative remarks.
It didn't suite her cause they told her to tone it down. Remember to make the charts these days they prefer something light, and she is not a light singer my friend. Honestly in my opinion, this competition was too small for her. American Idol is about the light tone, cute faced boys and girls that the lil kids want to see. His "lifestyle?" You're one of those, huh? lol Last time I checked this was primarily a singing competition. I'm not a huge fan of his voice but he was hands down the most creative and best performer this season. And he was consistent. The boy CAN sing.
Lil has a great voice, but song choice IS important. She did not perform that song well and part of the reason for it is because it was a bad choice to begin with. You have to have more than just a good voice to be a great singer.

This is not an issue of race and im black lil round shot her self in the foot. She was trying to hard not to meet the typical black standard or stereotype i.e whitney beyonce, mary j etc. She could have sang all there type of songs but she kept singing awkward songs that was clearly not her. What was Simon listen to when he heard this performance? I thought her rendition was absolutely beautiful. The problem I have with some of the judges is that they give the contestants conflicting advice sometimes. Sometimes they say a singer was "too serious." The next week after the singer takes their advice to heart, they will then say the song was too "self- indulgent." That's what happened with LIL. The judges confused her with their inconsistent advice.

I liked Lil Rounds from the beginning. As the contest went on, her song choices weren't great. The girl has strong vocal pipes but lacks star quality and self confidence. It was amazing to see how long her hair weave got each week. She should've done like Fantasia and just kept it (her own hair) short. I know it's wrong to say but I'm glad she's didn't win. Now she can go home and take care of her husband and three small children.

Actually overtime she got demotivated because of the negative comments she got in the beginning when she was actually doing great. They told her to tone it down and she did, and that is what cost her the entire competition; trying to apply to what they wanted. When you want so much from a person, it really kills the person who she actually is. Lil Rounds was doing WELL, until the moment they started making negative remarks.

It didn't suite her cause they told her to tone it down. Remember to make the charts these days they prefer something light, and she is not a light singer my friend. Honestly in my opinion, this competition was too small for her. American Idol is about the light tone, cute faced boys and girls that the lil kids want to see. U have to admit she did a better job on her final song after she was voted off than she did in most of the last few weeks.
