  • Hi, I am VERY interested in buying your singing pumpkins. i was just wondering if it is easy to add the audio. I am not great at computers and your animations are by far the best i have seen! Thank you for your help!

  • how did u make the ghost effect in the background like at Disnelyland haunted mansion

  • Hello- I want to buy your video...can you tell me if I can sink up the audio by using iMovie?

  • how do I get a download from you....I hold a safe trick or treat night every year for our community and this would be great to use.

  • No I mean like how to make the projection program

  • How do you make that effect of the pumpkins please reply

  • @cesarrulz3 They were projected animations on pumpkins.

    No thanks. ;)

  • that is so cool. i wish i did something like that.

i'm still trying to make a good looking haunted house for Halloween. do you have any advice, mokthemagicman?

  • How do you decorate to make it look like Halloween Town?

  • You are really inventive / t/he pumkin effect and the skull. are fantastic effects

You work for Spielberg or what ?

    *****

  • do you have a website to buy the digital download? I'd like to purchase it.

  • Nevermind. I just saw it in the video - email hotliquidcheese *at* cox *dot* net

I saw it on the Holdman Christmas channel.

  • Good old Halloween has to be my top holiday. It's a shame that people don't really celebrate it where I live :S

  • We'd love to get the animation, if you sell it tell me where I can get it please.

  • what is the name of the program for the singing pumpkins? can u buy it somewhere?

  • I used Maya but you can use different programs like Flash or adobe after effects to get the same effect.

  • Could you please post your animation? It looks so cool, and I was wondering if I could use it for a party (I'll give you full credit of course).

  • No, but I sell the animation without the music and sound for digital download. If you own the music you can dub it yourself in a video editing program.

  • how did you do the flying ghost mate ?that was a good halloween video this one should be a new haunted mansion x*D

  • That is so awesome!

  • WOW you did I good job on the animation!!!!!

  • how do you do this i want to do this one please

  • Nice! I love it when the pumpkins were singing "Grim Grinning Ghosts" from Walt Disney's Haunted mansion.

  • hi im trying to do a simalar ghosts rising from the graves effect may i ask how yours was achieved?

  • how do you use the face

  • How did you make the flying ghost ? the one's going up on the screen ?

  • i love that!

  • Ya know, I so want to do something like this for Holowween (I know I spelled that wrong) but I have no idea were to get all this stuff. and i dont have a lot of money to begin with...

  • where have u buy them, i love them

  • How did u great the animation i must know...i wont tell anyone i swear...just send me a private message...please i must know iv been wanting my own singing pumpkins display this year!!!

  • two things: one: bloody awesome! two: how'd you do that?

  • projection of the animation onto the pumpkins. same effect used on the singing busts in the haunted mansion

  • that is very creative

  • AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!

  • is there a way i can get a copy of the singing pumpkins. will pay if need be.

  • That is so cool "did you know disney land dose that in the haunted mansion at x-mas time.

  • GREAT JOB !!! on the animation!! and that WOLF HOWLING!!! in the backround worked well with the SONG!!

  • brilliant - you should be proud!

  • Okay, I have to know how to do this...willing to share???

  • GREAT JOB!!

  • kewl, that looks like it took a long time to do.

  • Brilliant , I'm,coming to knock on your door

  • EXCELLENT!

  • i have a feeling you'll be scaring three year olds dressed as ladybugs!

  • WOW! That has to be the best idea for a halloween decoration ever! I wish I could do that! I'm not that smart though. XD

  • This was really great! Really fascinating and I bet that everyone in your neighborhood really look forward to how you will top last years display. I decorate my yard for Halloween. It is the best in the neighborhood. Every year I try to add something new. I really like animatronics. This is really a show stopper. You know you are going to start marketing this effect. When do you think it will be available? Oh by the way, I really loved the skull effect!

  • churros

  • Hey, I'm 10 years old and I go trick-or-treating. I think I've been to your house on Halloween because I saw the same pumpkins and the same faces and music. If you live in Rhode Island and have a bowl with a rubber hand that grabs your hand when you reach into it, I stole your bowl XD

  • where i cant buy thats pumpkins....???

  • what?

  • I suspect you're going to get a large number of posts like this at this time of the year...have you found a way to share you animation without the music? Thanks for your help...this is beyond fantastic!

  • Thats awesome!!! How do you get them to have the right mouth movements?

  • WOW we dont hardly decorate at-all but this time we will

  • very neat!

  • his name it mixitup you can find him on youtube

  • awesome!!! hey itzmr2u where did you find those animations??? could you pass along the url? Has anyone else been able to replicate this?

  • where did u find the disney version of grim grinning ghosts all i can find is the swingtips version

  • this is so cool! Very well done! You should post a "do it yourself" video online. I would even want to pay for the animation on dvd or as a file

  • That has to be about the coolest thing ever!

  • I've been reading this thread for awhile and you said you can't sell the DVD due to copyright issues which I understand, but why can't you create one with no audio and sell that? There's a guy selling a DVD of animation on a haunt web site for $30 for 2 songs! Maybe even offer it up as a film file that could be downloaded and those who can create their own DVD can add the audio themselves based on your audio tracks. No copyright problem there!

  • very well done ^_^

  • Did you use a single projector?

  • Icant believe you made the faces yourself! it is amazing! I am a brit, and I find it amazing the way that you americans make everything so big. I think that is where england goes wrong!

  • did you make the animation or did you get it from a website? please reply before october 2008

  • I animated them myself.

  • what software did you use to make them (i'm so sorry for asking so many questions)

  • Maya

  • How did you make the illusion of the floating ghost 30 into this video?

  • Your comments say the animation is available for purchase, but where can we get them? What site?

    Thanks

  • Dude, this rocks! How did you hide the projector?

  • I have tomb stones and fake bushes all over that can hide it. Did you see the new scull animation in my newest film?

  • that was almost like the graveyard jamboree.. and the flying ghosts projection was awsome

  • i mean how much was the video projector?

  • I own this soundtrack, is there anyway you would be willing to sell the animation so I can build a display like this? PLEASE!

  • How did you project them on there? I mean how expensive was it? Could it be a budget project?

  • Not really. With all the animation programs, video editing software, using a digital projector and speakers it gets a little pricey. I stand out front just in case someone tries to steal something.

  • Great video. Can you post the video that you projected against the pumpkins?

  • Fantastic job.

    Love your ATIS site too!

  • Thanks. Did you see the new video with the grim grinning ghost skull? I did it for last years Halloween. See more from mokthemagicman ========>

  • I've just spent the last few minutes looking at all your vids. Great stuff. Can't wait for what's next.

Is the ATIS DVD still available?

  • Yes it is. Order it from the website.

    Thanks

  • Awesome. Thanks. Will do.

  • omg so cute, luv them pumpkins

  • thats so cool

  • My new Grim Grinning Skull effect from this year's Halloween is now posted on youtube. See More from Mokthemagicman to view.

  • What program did you use to animate this? AWESOME job!

  • Maya and used After Effects to combine all three animated heads. Thanks-

  • I just recently saw the Disney one, and I think your animation is smoother, and the yellow casts a better effect than the black they used. Great job!

  • Thanks. Wait until you see this years new effect! I did a test run last night and it looks great. I will post it on youtube when I film it this Halloween.

  • that is the absolute coolest! i would never leave your front yard.

  • Niceeeeeeee :D

  • Do you think there is anyway that you can send me the footage of the original singing heads? I was hoping that if you could send it to me that I could transfer it to my projector in time for halloween. Thanks a lot.

  • I've seen many a Halloween display but those pumpkins are simply AWESOME!!! Thanks for posting and Happy Halloween to you and yours.

  • wow! that was sooooo great!!! :D

  • How did you get the animated efects for the song? That was so cool! Are they on video already or clipped somewhere?

  • No. I animated it myself and I built it in a 3D program and put it on a looping DVD.

  • What if you used white pumpkins but had orange coloration around the digital features? -- thus the "video screen" is white, the projected features wouldn't pick up the orange color, but the pumpkin flesh itself would imaged into looking orange.

This is only for creative suggestions. You did a great job.

  • Cool effect. Would it have been more clear to see the effect if your animated features were simply done in black against the orange pumpkins?

I know you were probably going for a lighted pumpkin effect, but I don't imagine yellow on orange has enough contrast.

  • One of my animation tests was done in black and it didn't look quite right. After more tests the yellow looks better. When seen in person you can clearly see the faces so this issue is moot.

  • Good stuff. What do you use to project the ghosts flying up the screen? There is a similar trick in the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland and I've been wondering how to replicate it. Thanks.

  • How about this time, you get some better light, too. Either way it looks good.

  • Halloween 2007 is near. You going to use them again?

  • Yes. But this time I am going to edit out the non-singing parts in-between and have them constantly singing. Last year, people walked up and never noticed them since they weren't moving so they just walked past them unnoticed.

  • This is so awesome is it possible for you to have the file as a download?

  • I love this!

  • OK....so how do I purchase the how to instructions or the program from you??? I'M SERIOUS! That was so amazing!!!

  • I don't think I can explain it all. It is way too involved to explain a tutorial/s on how to do all the animation, compositing, editing, DVD enconding and all that stuff. I can't sell the DVD since the music is owned by Disney. Maybe I will create one with my own created Halloween song.

  • YES PLEASE CREATE YOUR OWN SO I CAN BUY IT!!! HA HA HA.....sorry for all caps but I'm just so excited!!!

  • I imagine the pumpkin chorus causes a traffic jam of people wanting to stand there and watch it. Awesome!

  • I bow down to you and your awesome technical and creative skills.

  • Wonderful display overall... but your animated pumpkin faces is a show stopper! Even in this less-than-perfect video you can still easily see that you did great work! Thanks for posting this.

  • I sure would like to have a set of those in my yard. Any chance of you telling us/me how to do it????

  • Great job!!! Awesome display

  • cool

  • One word=SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS! This video is very ingenious indeed. Great job!

  • That. Was. Awesome!!!!

  • dude...those are awesome!....i got those same pumpkins, they would look great with the faces, too bad i dont have skills like that lol

  • YOU USE MAYA!!!!! Oh, and weren't you featured or referenced or something on a podcast episode of Extinct Attractions?

  • Was I? Cool. What episode was it? I did one of his DVD specials that was a lot of fun to do. Thanks-

  • I think they mentioned the CGI recreation of Adventure thru inner Space on the episode: Monasto Adventure thru Inner Space Podcast. That's my favorite podcast next to the Haunted Mansion one.

  • wonderfully done man. 5 stars

  • 1. I meant make more to sell to people.

    2. Disney? You work for Disney?

  • he doesnt work for Disney. he meant that disney could either sue him or worse. he used a song from an attraction. TM, copyrighted crap. u get the general idea

  • Hell no. Disney would have my head! If I did my own song I could.

  • Can you copy and sell these animations? They may come in handy next Halloween.

  • I am a 3D animator by trade so I decided to do something fun for the Holidays. I used my 3D program Maya to create three singing faces and then created a looping DVD disk of the movie. Using a portable DVD player and digital projector, I shot them onto the pumpkins from a hidden spot behind a grave stone. I think the effect came out really cool.

  • Thanks- The pumpkins are fake plasic ones that look real so I can use them anytime. You can get them at any craft store durring the Month of October.

  • Great job! Now for plan 2: Keep the pumpkins fresh long enough from October to December and use them for the graveyard holiday song from the Haunted Mansion HOLIDAY.

  • wow! how'd you get the, to sing like that?
