  • Too bad it only allows primerless cartridges... Just Kidding! It looks so nice. I find .38/.357 attractive. It's interesting to shoot .35 or .40 caliber pistol after you are used to .22lr and .308 Winchester.

  • Do you do that to the Cylinder of a Ruger Redhawk, in .45 Colt, so it can handle .45 ACP In a Moon Clip? Yes

  • Can you do that to the Cylinder of a Ruger Redhawk, in .45 Colt, so it can handle .45 ACP In a Moon Clip?

Do you belong to any of The Gun-Mking Forums?

    You would be most welcome!

  • @GalaticTG

The machine was programed. It'll figure that out without human assistance.

  • @Koi880

No CN,, done on rotatary table by hand....

  • what's the drillin' for? speed reloaders?

  • @xxfroobxx

    Moonclips....

  • Where's the cutting oil? Won't the bit get too hot?

  • @raymond454

it's a carbide no need for oil

  • @Koi880

This was a demo. I use oil in the real machining....

  • @raymond454

  • @tkcustom46 then why is there tape to protect the finish of the cylinder?

  • Awesome job but wanted to blow in the monitor all the time

  • Air hose, where the f@#k is the air hose!!!

  • @captain2231

air hose? You're kidding right? You'll damage the workpiece surface

  • @Koi880

    oo Damage....

  • @captain2231

    When Im done....

  • you should blow the chips away with the compress air gun or smth?

  • @741741741

    When Im done.....

  • @tkcustom46 I live in outside of USA...

This is illegal but everyone does it in my country..

How can I convert the revolver replica to real revolver gun ??

    How ?

  • @SUSSTURUCU It's a pretty bad idea, actually; most replicas are made of inferior materials and won't stand the pressure of firing a cartridge. If you still think you must, you'll need the gunsmithing skill needed to alter chambers and barrel, if needed, to accept your chosen cartridge, and then the ability to handload the cartridges so the pressure is within the limits of the replica. Then you still have a chance of touching off a grenade in your hand, every time you fire.

  • @SUSSTURUCU they are mad of zinc not steel, it cannot be safely done , i have tried.. even rubber bullets is to much..

as the chamber is zinc.. it itwere steel or brass in the chambers it might bold in some of the revolvers. the only thing you can shoot it ruber balls out of the muzzel single shot or from the flare cup laincher. to get proper power plug the holes in the sides

  • @SUSSTURUCU Germany is a shithole. Move to a decent country. Or build directed energy ( Laser or microwave ) weapon. See my channel and homepage.

  • @GalaticTG I had to laugh at this comment... I was subconsciously wanting to do the same thing. Very cool video tkcustom46. I love that conversion.

  • Brilliant.

  • @GalaticTG

    Experience

  • Great modification

  • Do you need to use special autoloader cartridges for speed loaders or can you use normal .357 and .38 cartridges?

  • That was interesting i used to shoot a 686 6inch untill the british people were denied the rights to shoot at targets. Its a great gun.

  • What advantage does this have over just using speed loaders?

  • Faster speedloads. Can do in 1.5 seconds

  • @tkcustom46 How can I convert my replica revolver to real revolver ???

  • @SUSSTURUCU

    No that would be illegal.....

  • @rmedwards18 He's likely doing it strictly for demo. If he was running coolant it would splatter all over the camera, etc. I am surprised he was running such high speed and feed also....but he was using nitrided cutting bits. He was removing such small amounts of tell that heat buildup really wouldn't be an issue for this demonstration.

    Excellent video by the way.

  • No refitting of ANY internal parts is necessary at all.

  • None

  • After this mod, I assume it's necessary to fit an oversized hand, owing to the fact that you reduced the o.d. of the ratchet? or are you starting with a new, oversized extractor, and then fitting it down by hand?

  • and thats the way it is

    very good!

  • Val Venis titantron?

  • please. you took a course in gunsmith or mechanical precision?

    I´m brazilian.

  • This leaves the web of the case unsupported. Does shooting full house magnum loads result in bulged cases?

  • @HaywireHaywood

    Not an issue.

    Tom

  • nice! Bridgeport?

  • @rmedwards18 Because he is a pro.

  • wow , nice job very clean. if you decide to do other guns I would be intrested

  • awesome job

  • good job

  • what grade (steel?) do you use?

it looks stainless am i right?

  • @nuttyape Most stainless firearms are 416 stainless. I don't know if Smiths are.

  • thats so cool

  • that looks great. the chamfered edge looks factory

  • Is this machined by a person or a computer?

  • Machined by a person... me.

  • @tkcustom46

    Cool Vid. Nice work.

  • Factory headspace is mantained, which supports the cartridge for firing.

  • How do you know the rounds will headspace properly if you removed almost the entire top surface of the cylinder?

  • @disturbedone5009 there is a rim/ledge left and it catches the rim of the bullets. It's the same length as stock.

  • Yeah I noticed that after I posted my comment.

  • how much would this cost ?

  • $100.00 for thr machining. I ONLY do S&W

  • Cylinder must be machined to accept clips.

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks for posting this video. This was very informative.

  • A Full Moonclip is circular piece of spring steel or stainless steel designed to hold a full cylinder of ammunition for a revolver together as a unit. Therefore, instead of loading one round at a time or using a speedloader, with a Full Moonclip, a full cylinder of ammunition can be loaded and the fired cases are all extracted together as a unit. Thus expediting the revolver loading and unloading process. Unlike a speedloader, a Full Moonclip remains in the revolver during firing.
