Abolishing money is not absurd. It has been done; in Spain, for example, anarcho-communist societies were established in the 1930s. Goods were distributed without any formal quid pro quo, "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need." This was done among hundreds of thousands if not millions of people, and it worked quite well: production and standard of living increased.
Abolishing money is a legitimate idea. Don't just dismiss it!

this guy told it like it is. some where there to protest peacefully for a justified cause, others there to cause trouble and be......odd. Protestors are often the bad guys, not ALL of them but you cant blame police as well as the general public for thinking your crazy when police cars are burning, windows are being smashed, and grafiti being painted.

One thing you need to realize is that shills are put into the mix during these protests in order to cause problems, taking the attention away from the issues and labeling the entire movement as a violent anarchist riot. It's obvious only a few people were bent on destruction of property and violence, had that been the entire mobs intent, it would have turned ugly real fast. There may have been a few bad apples there but I'm certain there were planted antagonizers.

There has been nothing on that scale in the states and he's picking one sign that he didn't like and saying this was the message of the protest. That was a beautiful day to see that many people united from all different points of view against the banker bailouts and financial fear mongering.
