Marty was a great vocalist and could have made it in any genre of music but he is best known as country and we should be proud and pleased that he did, Id like to claim this rare talent for country music.

Such a natural voice. You know Bing sang natural, he didn't have to strain his voice such as Frank Sinatra. Marty had the most pure natural voice and that includes Bing Crosby!

I wouldn't just classify Marty as a Country singer whitefalcon64. To me, he is on an equal level of many Popular singers and could certainly sing effectively other styles that they couldn't.

Marty was so under rated..He is my alltime Favourite..I have over 70 LP's of his and my office walls at home are done in a Marty Theme of pictures..He was the best
