  • Thumbs up if you like cp!Thumbs down if you like cn!

  • Wish Canada had these crossing gates when the bells stopped, i'd just like to listen to the horn and engine instead of ding ding ding...i know the horn and engine overwrite the sound when making a video but still...

  • @DieselSmoke92 It's actually possible to set it up this way on any gated crossing signal, via a simple adjustment in the gate mechanism. I'm not sure if it is the railroad's decision or the preference of whatever signal maintainer is working that territory. Around here, CP Rail has it done kind of randomly. The crossing in my "CP Rail Freight Train Braun Road" video recently had a new bell installed and it was changed to continue ringing after the gates lower. I'm not sure why.

  • @Brenton81 Interesting.

  • why did the rining stop? i live in canada this douesent hapen anywhere here.

  • @SuperTrainkid It's something the railroad chooses to do. Once the gates are fully lowered, the train's horn and bell provide audible warning of its approach. The bell is used more of an indication that the gates are lowering and to clear the tracks.

  • why did the ding dongs stop?

  • So I see my cp is coming by train

  • Good catch, Brent.

  • nice vid!!

  • This crossing, like many on CN & CP, likely uses flasher relays intended for use in Canada, where the lights flash faster.
