It is up to you. If you follow the instuctions you will have to connect a wire to a handbrake light sensor, but obviously you can do whatever you want, so you can connnect the wire to differently so you can watch films whilst driving.

You can connect your ipod via USB, this JVC unit will read MP3 files on your ipod anyway..

Originally you have to connect the cable to handbrake, but you can do it however you like. It's nice to have no limitations but any film can cause danger. I've already tried it ;p

Yes it does. If you burn videos on a disc (dvd/cd) or on memory stick, it doesn't really matter ;) but it must be in DivX format, NOT in Xvid
