NO WAY! How could you fit all those people from history in one telephone booth?

  • Big man isn't dead, he's just on the future council now.

  • Such a bodacious scene!

  • Hey Ted Dont Fear The Reaper Loll

  • Most Triumphant.........Excellent!!!!

  • most excellent scene from one bodacious movie

  • Be excellent to each other!

So simple, yet, words to live by!

  • It's funny when The Big Man says "It's you." he is

    looking right at Neo...

Poor Bill. Whatever happened to Bill?

  • Anyone know the name of the song in the background?

  • @GuitarPlayerDan88

    In Time by Robbi Robb

  • @GuitarPlayerDan88 thats a good jam isn't it bro.

  • At one time Jesus was just a guy with weird ideas about the world, Einstein was just a guy with this weird theory about energy, and Gandhi was just a guy who wanted to buck the system. Anyone can change the world, so be excellent to each other and party on dudes!

  • we should do what we can to get this message passed on to our next generation be excellent to each other is very important message but it is no more then a modernization of the golden rule. however hardly anybody elaborates on the second part of this very important message "party on dudes" this is just live life to fullest extent possible dont let time rule your life your life should rule time

  • later

  • Favorite movie ever I was born in 96 but I love the 80s I would do anything to of been therw

  • What song

  • cheesy as hell, but i like it

  • Every time I feel angry at the world or worried about the future, I just watch this video, and I feel totally reassured and filled with hope. In time, everything will be alright.

  • Ok, I get that there's some hate going on here, but isn't it going completely against the message of this video? "Be excellent to each other, party on dudes". Try to put aside all gripes and differences and remember that we are all human beings. Nobody's right or wrong, we all have different opinions, but that shouldn't hinder anyone else from commenting and enjoying life as it is, it's too short for that. Sorry to sound preachy but that's the truth.

  • Doing these two things will get you far in life. :)

  • I wished they kept the future looking like this in Bogus Journey. The foam outfits and big shoes they had them wearing in that movie were fugly. 20 years later this scene still looks beautiful and magical.

  • hey whats the name of this song

  • @smokealot69sober In Time by robbi robb

  • Strange things are afoot at the cercil K.....

  • Good Movie!

  • It can be hard to accept wisdom from Bill & Ted, but I think we should all try to live our lives by the line "Be excellent to each other."

  • You can"t notice it on Youtube because of the quality but if you look in the booth at 2:55 you can clearly see two dummies instead of real people. I don't really know why im posting this, probably just because I thought it was interesting or something.

  • I really like this guitar riff they play before "in Time." I was hoping it was part of the soundtrack. the song sounds better in the movie than on the soundtrack!

"Yeah! It's us! Who are we?"

  • RIP, Clarence Clemons

  • Rest in Peace and may you live on through the soul of music, Big Man.

  • Grace Slick on the Left.

  • Like this if you came to this video because you wanted to pay tribute to Clarence Clemons (RIP).

  • @jalabi99 Rufus?

  • Godspeed Clarence. I have no doubt that you have found yourself in a most excellent place.

  • RIP Clarence!!

  • RIP Clarence :(

  • RIP big man

  • RIP Clarence Clemons...a brilliant saxophonist...hope your heaven is just like this... :-)

  • Aha! Answered it for myself, I think. Martha Davis of The Motels ("Suddenly, Last Summer" and "Little Robbers").

  • So there's Clarence and, is that Fee Waybill of The Tubes on the right? Who is the lady on the left? Anyone know?

  • @translator82 Amen to that...Rest in Peace, Big Man.

  • The world is a sadder place now that one of the Three Most Important People is no longer with us...RIP Clarence Clemons.

  • Clarence Clemons!

  • Clarence Clemons is one of the Three Most Important People in the future world. Just like in the present world. Get better Big Man...

  • Clarence Clemons is one of the Three Most Important People in the future world. Just like in the present world. Get better Big Man...

  • I am not exaggerating at all when I say the song in this scene is one of, if not the, most amazing power ballads i have ever heard. It's a shame this song isn't more well known.

  • @Scotty7617 I agree, however I'm glad it's not more well-known, look what happened to songs like "Don't Stop Believing" re-done and re-done, re-released and re-released until the world is sickened. This one is only for the select few, the excellent, the bodacious, and the most f*cking triumphant!! Like us!!

  • Best song ever? I think so.

  • Is my time travel song!

  • History is not up to that time the future time. I hope peace is real in near future

  • y were the future council sittin in complete dark??? lmao!!!

  • My idea of a perfect society. Taking everything that was cool about the 80s and deciding it makes more sense to work and play together in peace than scrabble for money and hate each other.

  • Third one, the Plot it's Keanu's job to find out what happened to the other one! Okay, I shouldn't steal Conan's jokes.

  • SHIT they play exelent music

  • When I think of music that could bring intergalactic peace, the only band that comes to mind is Angels & Airwaves. Anybody with me? We love you, Tom!

  • @BatmanEnvy WOW. you think EXACTLY like me. i want to be your friend! im a huge angels and airwaves fan and an even massiver bill & ted fan!

  • @BatmanEnvy not to sound too harsh, but go die in a fire, Tom needs a good fucking punch to drag his sorry ass bk to earth, A&A wer a bag of shit, he thinks he is some musical messiah and he really isnt, +44 wasnt to bad, nothin on blink but never exected that, A&A was just painful cos of Toms arogant rambling abt changing music n doin his messiah act. So no, we dont love you Tom, we love blink n hence hav to put up with ur shit

  • Comment removed

  • @kakashitrapnell That wasn't too harsh. I'll go find a fire, and die in it because I think Tom Delonge is a cool dude. That seems reasonable. Or we could all just enjoy this radical video.

  • HAHAHAHAHA, this is the exact scene where my VHS copy ripped from overuse :)

  • what song is playing here?

  • @Raztro Artist is Robbie Robb, Song is called "In Time" btw i have no idea how the song didnt get huge on its own

  • @Raztro Artist is called Robbi Robb and the Song is Called "In Time" and it's a mystery how it's not a classic.

  • @beauforthigh33 No problem, thanks for being so moved. It is amazing when you think about it: we could all just as easily be doing the heil hitler or playing air guitar-it all comes down to those real people and real moments. Personally, I'd take two good hearted guys who just want to have fun any day.

  • why are they living in a cave?

  • Most Outstanding!

  • Freaken love the Guitar in this song epic in movie history.

  • One of the most inspirational moments in movie history.

  • That was totally excellent!

  • we stopped dreaming of a better world when the kids came and jobs came and we cut our hair and pay started to matter and omg i need gas to make it to work and a pack of smokes just to get through my breaks..... we lost the abilty when life happened and thats why this is so special it was created by those who didnt forget and tried to reinspire a generation to grab a torch and set the world on fire with it before its to late.....rant off..

  • @Brikrender So ok. I cut my hair short and yeah I have a job now. But dammit I refuse to live just to survive another day. Whether It's learning to play guitar even if I may be too old already, saving and old lady from a drunk guy in front of my granma's house or waiting for one of my students to gather the courage to speak instead of failing him immediately just because the guy's shy. Or maybe it's about writing silly post on the interet so that others may see some folks still have hope.

  • @YosheeTK Soooo sorry folks. Got carried away a little. This film, especially this part of it, this music, always make me feel like this. Um well... Be excellent to each other. And party on dudes:D

  • @YosheeTK I know just what u mean, and thanks for your comment.

  • @Brikrender Agreed if we keep your attitude we still have a chance to build more then we inherited. I think the most important thing is we need to start believing that it's possible again.

  • @angrydead haha get real, the world is torn by terminal illness, starvation, war, overpopulation, outsourcing poverty, economic depressions and environmental changes(for the worse)... the chnages are irreversible

  • @EagleMarine2012 Ah tiresome defeatest misanthropy, always a bore and always self-defeating.

  • @Brikrender well said

  • @Brikrender i think ive heard this exact rant before aside from a few difference, but what scares me is i cant say as i disagree that is just life

  • @Brikrender You sold out dewd,, some of us still live this dream with kids & bills.. these guys inspired my life to BE DIFFERENT and MAKE DIFFERENCES.

    BE Excellent to each other!!

  • @Brikrender wtf?

  • @Brikrender uhhh that's just a little bit of a "I remember when the world was great and not it sucks" kind of comment. Granted I do love this movie and it's my generation. But every generation believes it's the best. The predecessor to this generations wants us to believe they walked 50 miles in bare feet to school and that built character. But we lost it to video games, television and sports cars. Every generation has it tough man.

  • @Celeron917, every generation believes that, but you know what? That doesn't disprove that every generation is actually correct. Maybe with every successive generation vital things ARE lost, and it's only those people that knew those good things to begin with notice it. Look at people now: Meaningful jobs outsourced, obese sloths watching reality TV, millions drugged. It's quite possible when someone older bemoans the loss of something wonderful in the world, they're actually right.

  • @WastedPo

"Every generation has it tough man." = "It's quite possible when someone older bemoans the loss of something wonderful in the world, they're actually right."

    I miss logic.

  • @BlandAmbition, thanks for the glib, sarcastic one-liner. Of course, there was an entire paragraph I was responding to and you chose one sentence from it all and pretended I was just responding to that. I miss the days when people's overriding concerns in life weren't limited to coming off as hip on the internet. Here, I can do the same thing.

    "The world."= "I miss logic."

See, I can be dishonest too. It's easy.

  • @WastedPo

Well lets elect Bill and Ted for President and Vice President.

  • One of the most beautiful scenes in film history. Although when Ted deflected those bullets with his hand, that was pretty emotional too. Sorry, I always get those movies confused.

  • IT'S YOU!

  • Good scene...Hope the do Bill & Ted (3),

But do it here in Phoenix Again like the first one.

  • @MRruybe most definitely

keanu confirmed that there's going to be a 3rd movie :D

  • this clip still gives me goose bumps! im having this tune playing at my wedding or funeral which ever happens first! party on dudes!

  • EXCEPTIONAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 'Be excellent to each other and party on dudes' should be the world's motto...

  • @videogamenostalgia Most totally.

  • @videogamenostalgia well said my friend the world would be a peaceful & happy place if it was :)

  • @videogamenostalgia Would sure work for starvation, aids and poverty...

  • @videogamenostalgia

    HELL YEAH!!!!

  • @videogamenostalgia Radical!!!

  • @videogamenostalgia Dudes does not require the apostrophe. However, I love the sentiment of the comment. If only people like ourselves lived closer to each other.

  • @episkeuo It wasn't an apostrophe, it was the end of a quotation mark (hence the apostrophe at the beginning of the quote).

  • @videogamenostalgia it will be in 2688

  • that was a most triumphant clip

  • Anyone else think that the world would be a better place if it was exactly like this?

  • Epic scene!!!

  • Whats the name of this song playing? I gotta know it.

  • @gonzo99x Robbie Robb - In Time (Movie Version) - Unreleased, but IronhideFX and Marcus Wright created an almost exact version. Its on Bill and Ted dot Org.

  • Haha, that's the scene which they accidentally went to future when they were trying to escape from "the HISTORICAL BABES' dad the king" right?:)

But Socrates is my favorite, the guy with A strong eyebrow is a fan of him

  • The 90's completely destroyed what had been an excellent 'teen movie' genre. Anyone agree?

  • Bare in mind folks, this is just a movie, its not meant to be taken overly serious. With that said, I think there is a good message to take away here: anyone came change the world, anyone can make history...even just two guys who just want to rock and roll. So be excellent to each other!

  • Is there a version of this song out there somewhere? I know the song is "In Time" by Robbi Robb but it sounds different in this scene. There is definitely a guitar added to this one. I just wonder if they did that for the movie or if this version could be found somewhere?

  • Hmm, I wonder what longest running sci fi show ever could have given them the idea of a travelling phone booth...

  • Keanu & Alex should make a comeback Bill & Ted fatherhood movie.

i love the Bill and Ted movies.

  • It is entirely possible that a song, an album, a band could become the basis of an entire future civilization

Remember, a book changed the world. Why wouldn't an album?

  • PARTY ON DUDES

  • This movie Rocked!

  • i remember when i first saw this film, i actually got butterflies cos i never thought of a future as cool as this

  • This scene gets me so much. Maybe it's because I understand that the people in this scene are seeing their society's idols, and being able to symbolically thank them by doing a ritualized Air Guitar is something they seem to be honored to do so, making me, as a viewer, feel honored as well. A wonderful, touching scene. The great music doesn't hurt :)

  • this part is so deep for this rediculous movie..best part

  • Fourteen people are too young to understand.

  • I don't know about the idea of religious themes. But I think the scene implies that anyone can make a difference, anyone can change history. Even some guys who flunk history and just want to listen to rock and roll all day. We could just as easily be doing air guitar as giving military salutes because of the effects of people through history.

  • I love this scene!!!!! It's gotta be the most heart-felt cinematic moment in an otherwise hilarious movie!!!!! Not only is the music beautiful, but also this scene shows us a perfect world where everybody gets along, which is what we all want to happen. For me, this is the best scene in the movie!

  • I hope everyone in this scene won an Oscar for this scene...

  • my senior quote was from this movie. Be excellent to each other.

  • always time xanderdude never give up faith mankind will get it

  • The greatest coming Of Age Movie EVER! Most Triumphant!

  • one of the best movies I can remember growing up with next to karate kid...those movies rocked! Bill and Ted will forever be great...there is an amazing solo at the beginning of this video at 0:07-0:37 truly amazing part... .. .

  • no matter how many times I see this movie, I still haven't figured out the song playing in the backround. If someone knows please tell me.

  • I love Bill and Ted! EXCELLENT!!!
