They may not be in the category of the tier one nations (the All Blacks, Australia, South Africa, France, England etc..), and they might not be as good as Canada, but they play quite well. @murph277v very true, and good for noticing. DTH (thank you god) moved to Sask when he was 10, and Munro was born in Toronto but raised in Glasgow. Niether good enough to represent their nations of birth, but a blessing for us.

you have to remember that we have the population of California spead out in a massive land mass. We didnt have slavery or let in the millions of Germans and Mexicans that you did. Of course you will be good at most sports. You can have your boring baseball, cowardly football, and nigger ball. We are happy with our home grown hockey and British rugby.

@steeljawz : I'll repeat my other comment, you sound like a moron... considering the pop. difference between Canada and the USA, Canada has a 75% winning percentage versus the States in Rugby.
When you have both nations competing in white male contact sports - hockey, rugby, lacrosse, Canada beats the USA more often then not... and as for the relevance of Canada in world sports, you're saying that Canada is below average as compared to other nations with roughly the same population?

Some of the best heavyweight Olympic wrestlers have also had high bodyfat levels. Lineman is not considered a "skill position" in football anyway, so your argument is moot in the context of the best athletes that American football provides. Actually, even defensive linemen post impressive vertical jump figures compared to most other sports.

If you want to talk about no try, look at Scully`s. The only thing he grounded the ball with was his stomach and arm pit. No arm pressure at all, that should not have been a try.

22.1 GROUNDING THE BALL
There are two ways a player can ground the ball:
(a) A player grounds the ball by holding the ball and touching the ground with it, in in-goal. or in the arm or arms. No downward pressure is required.
(b) Player presses down on the ball. the ball when it is on the ground in the in-goal and the player presses down on it with a hand or hands, arm or arms, or the front of the player’s body from waist to neck inclusive.
