Way to go. Performing in front of people is hard to do! I know, my first gig in front of people, I wore dark sunglasses and stareed at the ground!!! Now look at me, Im a regular sucker for the spotlight now!

Practice a lot, do it more than anyone else you know of, record yourself often to hear your progress. The more you practice the easier and better it becomes.
