  • beautiful beautiful meat

  • American wagyu? WHTA THE FUCK

  • I turned it off when he stuck a meat thermometer in a steak...

  • Sorry but if you want a good steak you have to grilling,,,,,,

  • Good job! But don't listen to this guy and drink abuncha wine. Best food is cooked sober in my opinion

  • I'm actually very torn between eating a steak while its piping hot (the fat on a ribeye is so yummy when its piping hot vs letting it rest and letting the juices redistribute and eating a warm steak..

  • not very marbled for wagyu =(

  • thumbs up for camera guy reflection

  • Is this L`Eclair Knifes

  • seal: gaaaaaayyyyyyyy

  • what a beast of a steak

  • Perfectissimo! Man that's tasty....thanks for sharing!! I usually grill mine outdoors year around, but I like this method~ much nicer when its raining.

  • I lived vicariously through this. Followed every step involving wine, and got the steakhouse burger from Carl's Junior. There is no steak in it. fail.

  • Food porn without the orgasm... CUT THE DAMN STEAK

  • what no money shot?

  • puh puh puh PPPAN? no way hose. I got my coals and wood chips ready for my barrel smoker...

    :D prime ribeyes

  • @max8987 Try to do it with Kobe beef ribeyes (wagyu) from a butcher, you'll never go back to regular ribeyes again.

  • @IslenoGutierrez until your wallet runs out hehe

  • @Jamiesyme999 well I try to keep my wallet full so I can eat Kobe ribeyes on a regular basis, lol. I usually by them instead. I'm not the king of Spain or anything, but I like to treat myself, lol. Nothing wrong with a regular ribeye though, they are very tasty too.

  • he broke a cardinal rule by rubbing the olive oil on before the salt/pepper. spices float on top of oil and will not get properly absorbed

  • @eqsmooth oh so you are the master of steaks and laws of cooking?... tell me more so I can be surprised.

  • @carllos25 I make a pretty mean steak and you can ask any master chef about the spice/olive oil thing. It's just true. So fuck off.

  • @eqsmooth Care to enlighten me oh master of the truly vapid? There's no steak etiquette and even if there were it wouldn't take into consideration preference and different styles all over the world as well as cuts of steak. If you knew how to make a good steak you would never consider watching a video as such which puts you in the same boat as the rest of the people who are just trying to learn.

  • @7 Oh suck my my Certified Angus Cock you milk less cow. There are ways to do things and I just fired a mini $12.00 CAB filet mignon to perfection. It was a masterpiece, so fuck you, you little cunt. Most uploaders and commenters are just happy to get views and look at their counters you stupid fuck. They don't care if they are being helpful. Me. I'm an educator and i know quite a bit, so listen up and dummy up, you little bitch. Spice, rub w/a small amount of olive oil and sear, grill or broil.

  • @eqsmooth Oh you must be the greatest educator of all time if you talk like that. Before you try to educate anyone else with your ignorance and arrogance why don't you educate yourself on the concept of relativity and just plain good old manners? Or is it your way or the highway? If you think your technique is the be all end all then you're living on cloud nine. You dumb British fuck how the hell do you chew a steak when half your teeth are probably missing?

  • @7477238 Who are you calling British? They don't know how to cook. And I floss twice a day. Great set of teeth, but i don't need to chew a melt in your mouth medium rare filet.

  • @eqsmooth different tastes and thus different techniques... Some would say pepper burns on a hot pan, and you should put salt to start with - but depends on desired end amount of salt. If you dont pre-salt the salt will only go on the crust anyways, and I guess some like the "contrast" between crust and center. My beef (pun intended) with this video is more that he doesnt mention anything about bad ovens ruining things, and "regular" people wont buy steaks this thick so you need alot higher heat

  • merci voila

  • EVERY FUCKER HAS THEIR OWN THEORIES AND TECHNIQUES. JUST BURN AND EAT NOM NOM NOM NOM. CHEMICALLY TENDERISED EL CHEAPO MEAT TASTES LIKE SHIT. I LAUGH AT POOR PEOPLE.

  • Steak and leaves ftw.

  • Rule #1: spice the steak and then seal in the spices w//olive oil. Never put oil on first or the spices, salt float on top of the meat and do not soak into the meat. Epic fail.

  • does anybody know the name of this song.

  • whats the name of this sound track?

  • I would deglaze the pan with some of the wine and made a bit of wine sauce to go with the steaks.

  • I'm pretty certain that a "restaurant chef secret" isn't to stab a thermometer into the steak to check for doneness. That's how someone that is new to cooking meat would do it.

  • OLIVE OIL on a steak.......nooooooooooo, NoOoOoOoO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

  • @HuntingGoodWill

Ahhh, what the fuck else would you use ?

  • Oh those poor steaks! Pieces of meat like that deserve a grill.

  • If this was an American video, most of the video would have talking and eating the steak.. I like how the "money shot" is left to the imagination. This one is for grown ups ;)

  • oh my, that looks yummy

  • Get drunk at the end :P

  • Wine. Get shitfaced with style.

  • Hell probably be drunk till the steak is cooked hahaha

  • i like to think of these steaks when im eating a 1/4in. steak

  • Perfekt

  • Only pussies make steak in a oven

  • ok, so i learned that if you want a good steak, you have to drink 1 bottle of wine....

    imokwiththis.jpg

  • after that ¡Enjoy more wine !

  • I wanna eat em

  • by the time steak is done, you will be dead drunk =)

  • Uhh no, toooo rare for me. And where is the garlic and butter to finish

  • Got drunk and forgot the steak in the oven thank you

  • @ponder2006 hahahahahahahaha!!! lmao, somethin i would do too.

  • enjoy more wine. lol

  • every steak u DONT cut is perfectly done...right?

  • inside probably looked like shit LOL

  • Great video. This really is the way to make an amazing steak.

  • food porn

  • @RealGunner4 lol i don't know why people upload that kinda music

  • meat in plastic ugh

  • Cool vid, thanks. Next time do your cooking secrets so some Iron Maiden or Judas Priest!! \oo/

Do you have a baby Lamb Chop vid???

  • NEVER USE A MEAT THERMOMETER! they let all of the juice run out of the meat they are horrible for a good steak! if you aren't confident in the cooking of your steak then you aren't familiar enough with the method you are using to try to make something perfect like this!

  • thank! now i'm hungry :)

  • "Brushing" on the oil? Trying to be "fancy"? ._. Just put a few drops onto it and spread with the bare hand(washed!). At least, this is as rustic as a meal can get, so why not getting ones hands dirty? And I'm pretty sure that the salt and pepper would season the meat more if applied before the oil comes to the party. This way, they have direct contact with the meat.

And put it on a rack in the oven for a better crust.

I could go on, but theres no more space in this comment :D

  • man.

  • My steaks come in a box.

  • GReat video !

  • Love this

  • love it!!!

  • This is the color natural meat should have!!! Pale (marbled) light purple/pink, with some gray oxidation spots! Nice!!! I am tired of people asking me why the meat I buy is not super red. Not organic/natural meat is fed mega doses of Vit E, anti-MRA agents, and colored with Red 40. Enjoy the wine!!!

  • the most iportant think is....enjoy the wine ^^

  • How high should the oven be???

  • 10 vegetarian hate this video

  • @droga187 i'm 11 to dislike and not because i'm a veggie person, but because this is entirely wrong. if you want the best steak of your life seek out how heston blumenthal does it.

  • i could eat this all day every day!

  • Intoxicated & yet informatively entertained!

Thanks much with all my my <3 !!!

  • Now thats a steak!!

  • Thumbs up if you got the Mondavi ref at the end.

  • So did you like Lobel's Waygu steaks? I have one of the Lobel's Meat books from the 70s.

  • fantastic.

  • Life can be so enjoyable if you just know how to take the most out of everyday routines, like eating.

  • Lol GET CRUNK AS HELL ON WINE

  • Thumbs down for not cutting into it and showing us the inside.

  • I left the steaks in the oven because I added too much wine.To myself.

  • song title - nao please@!

  • Lovely, simple, unpretentious video. Thank you.

  • I want to know the name of this song?‎

  • Well they didn't mention spending £80 to get the Wagyu breed of beef! I'm pretty sure that make's some difference

  • what song is that?

  • nice video, except its ok to touch the food... rub on that olive oil with your hands!

  • perfect steak, perfect video, this goes to my favorites...

  • Those bad boys got some excellent marbling.

  • nice song :)

  • i dont understand how whiite ppl can just eat STEAK with "garnish" as a meal. add some spices. cook some potatoes, salad, rice or some shit =S

  • @fo13ulous i dont understand how whatever race you are can take something like this so literally.

  • can I replace the wine with marijuana?

  • @kylebossify why not? works for me :)

  • i drink like 50 bottles of wine a month. thats why i cant afford good steaks like this.

  • I've heard that if you put steaks in the oven it toughens the meat. Is that true?

  • @snowmountain2007 Nope. All that matters is heat and time, not how that heat gets in.

  • tip: u may wanna drink some wine with ur steak

  • And enjoy more wine great steak

  • This is the perfect way to do steak. I learned the same way (from one of Alton Brown's videos) and its truely awesome. The only difference in my case is that its a cast iron pan instead of stainless but I dont think it makes any difference. I usually rest it for about 5 mins.

I watched a video of Gordon Ramsay making a steak and IMO he butchered it. Put so much oil directly into the pan that it may as well have been deep fried. LOL Anyway great video here and I'm sure very tasty steak.

  • Where's the money shot?

  • 125 to rare

  • What are u feeding a lion?

  • @whitewolf3999 haha... xD thats blue as hell... but it fits some steaks... personally i like my ribeye at med. rare to med.

  • I burned my steaks, who cares?...hic!

  • Wow.. Wagyu beef. This looks something 1500g together.... 300 USD?!

  • Im hedging my bets that there is more flavor when cooked over coals-Went to peter lugers and the steaks were alot more tender but lacking flavor-no steak is worth 100 bucks when i can get a great porterhouse at my butcher for 18 dollars

  • I wish all steaks were of that quality... oh what a world that would be... make it so scientists!

  • The title of this video should have been " Drink wine and eat raw meat"

  • SPICY MEATBALL LA!

  • Tried this! worked our perfectly. and you can never go wrong with Mr.Mondavi's wine.

  • NIIIIICE! OMG i just went to the LOBELS website to see about these steaks and from what i saw, you pay about $100 smacks per steak!! This person gotta be rolling in dough to afford this meal. Now, I can only wish I coud have this:(

  • @washme1ful more like the restaurant had to many steaks before their next shipment so sold them at a discounted price to their employees. Or he just stole them. No one buys a whole box of $100 steaks and cooks them, themselves.

  • @washme1ful *laugh* check out their prices for rib roast. sticker shock on steroids lol

  • NIIIIICE!

  • Is it really necessary to put them in oven for 2 minutes?

  • @Parkinson9999 Yes and no, those were thick steaks, he cooked them longer on the pan then he needed too but he cooked the internal with the oven. You could cook them lower in the oven if you want between rare and medium rare. These were medium rare.

  • Eat your heart out vegans.

  • anybody know the song?

  • look yummy

  • Comment removed

  • never use olive oil, takes too much of the taste of the steak.. tz tz tz.

  • those steaks look fantastic but why would you put the pepper on the steak before u grill it...it burns nd adds that flavour doesnt it

  • I WAS WAITING TO SEE THE INSIDES.

  • Im hungry

  • We wanna see how they look inside

  • You only put the steaks in the oven for 2 minutes? Thats it?

  • Very nice video, What is the name of this song?

  • im drunk

  • why in oven?

  • @KOMAR9111 These steaks are so thick that if you left them on the stove, the direct heat would burn one side. The oven, with it's indirect heat, will complete the cooking process to desired doneness beautifully.

  • Steaks look great. But for what you paid for that Wagyu, American or not, gotta get something a little better than Mondavi!

  • whats with the gay musc...nice meat by the way.NO HOMO : /

  • Everything checks out just the way I do it, with one exception, I do not have enough free will to let them rest for 10-15 minutes, lol :)

  • @DeRex9 when u cook meat, you need to let it rest because if not, all the juice will go out and ur meat will be dry, thats the scientific look of it, so if u wna enjoy ur meat, let it rest :)

  • @BabakMagic1 OK, this time I have waited, and true enough my 1 and 3/4 inch thick strip steak came out juicy and tender. I like them just under 2 inch thick. Medium-rare of course :) Thanks for your comment mate, :)

  • @DeRex9 np :)

  • @DeRex9 me neither, i eat them stood beside the pan. i'm such a heathen, lol

  • @DeRex9 trust me mate, thats the best part

  • For an average person, by the time the steaks are done, you be drunk. lol

  • @KrazeDiamond 3 glasses of wine won't get you drunk...

  • i love the wine part!!! lol now thats the way to do it!

  • american wagyu? EEEEUUUUUUWWWW

dont even need to respect the meat

  • Pan searing Rib EYes is a sin!!!! those babies need to be on a grill!!!!

Thanks for the feedback on my grammar. I'm glad someone is always looking out for inconsequential details of the subject at hand!

    -Cheers!

  • @Spadadiforza Your incorrect use of capital letters is a sin.

  • This is more like gay sex and less like how to make steak. Wheres the grill, beer and worstershire (however you spell it) sauce?

  • @captainchill4813

    LOL

    Best comment ever xD

  • this is good, and entertainment too :)

  • Perfect.
