Just bought one of these for flying at small fields. I know from your previous video that you have trouble with pulling inverted loops? Have you tried increasing the throw on the elevator to help with that problem?
This looks like the perfect size for small area flying, looks faster and more stable then a micro..What are your thoughts now after owning it for awhile?
Your prop needs balancing, could be the spinner that's out - often the case with these warbirds with big scale foam spinners. It's clear as day, she's vibrating, can hear it for sure. Nice video ;) Good flying!

YOUR BACK YARD FLYING AREA LOOKS FAMILIAR... BY CHANCE PARMA??? ANYWAYS GREAT VIDEO... IM LOOKING INTO THE EFLITE P40 ... LOOKS LIKE A FUN PLANE.... THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
@addzkebabs well, they usually don't make the same model. Parkzone makes more foamie planes, and e-flite has made more balsa planes. E-flite does have the new Carbon-z yak-54 foam plane though. But I don't think e-flite and parkzone make the 'same planes' really. I like both brands equally.
Thanks for your advise. What about Parkzone Corsair. I think it's easy to fly, right? I have no idea how to balance or check CG. Can I just put battery and fly Corsair?
@mailtopravit the corsair is ok also, I haven't flown it myself though, so I can't comment as much on it... but the CG of all the parkzone planes I have flown have been perfect right out of the box.
@mailtopravit I would suggest starting with an easier 4ch plane. This one is small, so it seems like it is a 'toy' kind of... but it isn't at all, it is very repsonsive and may be too 'twitchy' for a beginner pilot. It is only a 3Ch plane(no rudder) but it has ailerons... Anyways, I would suggest the E-flite Apprentice or the Parkzone T-28 for a first 4ch plane. They are both very stable and an easier transition.
nice catch! did you know this motor can take 3 and 4 cells with no problem and the battery tray can accept certain 3 cell batteries?? Ive since upgraded to a 370 and boy does it smoke!
You said in the video it sounds louder after crashing it on the nose, it sounds really cool! Maybe its vibration in the motor shaft but it sounds kinds of like a gas motor.
Thanks! Yeah, this used to be like my quietest plane... now it has that sound, I agree, does make it kind of sound like a tiny gas motor. Still flies with same speed so whatever the noise is, so far it isn't hurting flight.
you will be bored with the supercub unless you add ailerons.. I used to fly mine all the time, then got introduced to 4ch. Now never fly it. I may get one of those p-40's
@hairlesshippy I agree the super cub won't be as fast or agile as most of my videos show me flying other planes... but sometimes, just soaring and having a relaxing fly is very fun as well, I don't always have to be on my toes while flying. And the floats and taking off from the water/landing on water gives it an added thrill!
@iissyy123 hehe, yea, I live in a condo, and behind is is that apartment/condo building. So my backyard is just this grassy area then the pool, tennis courts, and there is a pond!(which I hope to fly my new super cub in with floats!) - picking it up soon so that will come hopefully in the next couple days!
@iissyy123 I might even get it today, I am waiting for delivery... if they deliver it early enough for me to make an unboxing/review/flight before the sun goes down, then I will :)
What size prop are you using and what is the plane's AUW using a 3S Li-Po?

how would you rate this for a 2nd plane?
nonikid1 10 months ago
@nonikid1 depends what you have flown before, but if you can fly 4ch planes, this shouldn't be hard for you.

I used a thunderbird 9 drawing about 9-10 amps with DOUBLE the stock wattage no problems, then upgraded to a electrifly ss12 when I went to 4 cells.
A good battery is the dualsky 400mah 30c or the 800mah 20c.. both fit without mods
GO FOR IT! :)

@777mikee I have been thinking of using a 3 cell. I only have a 10A esc in there though, would that be ok for a 3cell, or did you upgrade?
