  • @chuck14dr he's the reason i rap with my friends lol

  • lupe is so sweet he makes me wanna learn to rap!

  • Lupe is my favorate rapper but how is he a consious rapper

  • Dig Coulda Been, Muhammad Walks, Hustlaz Song, Daydreamin', Ghetto Story, Conflict Diamonds, Where Do I Go, Hurt Me Soul...a lot of his older work, very conscious. He has a wide range of music, from clever one liners to real deep lyricism, and both sides are raw, just in different respects.

  • @4ziATiC ok thanks

  • @4ziATiC u 4got mean and vicious one of his most lyrical songs

  • @shallowcoder1 because he talks alot about things that are going on right now or things he cares about with deep lyricsim. but i wouldnt put him in that box

  • "Shadow flow, call it Punxsutawney Phillips"

    nice groundhogs day reference

  • Somebody anybody take the rap on this and put it on Dr. Dre's "What's the Difference" I guarantee there is almost a possible way to promise that it will exactly fit

  • Mines is a horse, but mine is the size you could sneak inside a fort<--------- What was the name of that movie where they gave the giant horse to the army in the fort? I think they had soldiers in it btw....damn i cant remember

  • @deezfatnutz

i think it was the odysey but yea they protended to surrender by giving them a big ass trojan horse but they had solders inside the horse it when everyone feel asleep they came out and killed them

  • @deezfatnutz

he's talking about the trojan horse...the movie ur thinking of is troy, its greek mythology

  • lol love the Waynes brothers reference bang, bang, bang lol

  • @FIoresful what he ment by that anyway?

  • anyone know what the instrumental is?

  • Jay-Z - So Ghetto.

  • @dessy53 So Ghetto by Dj Premier (Jay-Z got it)

  • effortless is how i would describe this

  • Lazers- March 8th

    gotta represent 4 my dog

  • @kidshikanara word imma buy 2 and im broke lol

  • lu your fucking insane i hope hes aware of that. the fucking goat

  • "Flood the game like a giant in a dwarfs shorts"= high water jeans annd the flood .....smh too nice

  • Trojan Horse!!

  • I'm not gonna lie, I am a fan of Lil Wayne and Young Money. But I just LOVE to go to the true Hip-Hop and have to strain my brain to understand what the artists implement inside their sentences.

  • i just caught the napoleon dynamite reference O_o

  • @MugenFicoInfinite14 where is that?

  • @djblahblah "career so short it should b riding on a horse" 0:49 - 0:52

  • Damn Every time i listen to lupe, i feel like i have to open up a dictionary! lol this guy is a Fucking genius ! I Wish I had Lyrical skillz like him!

  • Wat beat is this?

  • @TheKidAnime Jay-Z - So Ghetto, dj premier at his finest

  • notice lupe says his most meaningful stuff last

  • I AM NOT WORTHY TO LISTEN TO THIS MAN. TOOO LEGENDARYYYYYY

  • when you look up the lyrics and search the words you don't know its mind blowing what he comes up wit:

"Flood the game like a giant in a dwarfs shorts." just think about that.wow.

"So long niggas career so short, it should be riding on a horse, mines is a horse, but mines is the size you can sneak inside a fort. Yours is a pony it can sleep inside a porche." RIdiculous.

"Im on point like the eating side of forks" so simple yet so raw

LUPE G.O.A.T...this is just one reference to 1 short ass song

  • lupe is too smart i love em too but the main fans who are in love with young money like the lyrics so basic, or they want them to rhyme

  • Lupe ripped this

  • lmfao that was the illest 1:17 ive ever heard

  • dude wtf this is crazy lol and awsome

  • i hate how some people hate everyone thats well known in rap like that automatically takes away from their skill, lupe is mainstream SO!!! hes GREAT!! Outkast is mainstream too! so is Nas, so is Eminem so is Kanye. thats great cause their messages get out to the masses, and theyre some of the most influential rappers ever, they all have and had stories to tell that get people through the day or through situations

  • pretty good, didn't do better than Jay Z tho

  • @KarimThaTooN He had the potential to but it was only 1:17

  • lupe is sort of mainstream but he actually aint that popular as a drake or eminem is

  • He cracked me up with that Pops Wayans line

  • I am one of Lupe's biggest fans; and he is the reason I wanted (and are trying) to rap. But now that I see all his lyrics with different views from other people. I'm like HOLY SHIT, I need to fix my lyrics. He just has that flow, that lyrical genius. So overall I hope they get Lasers out, (already signed the petition), and if I ever have a chance to meet him or at least be in his presence. It will complete me. As far as rapping it would be an honor to one day rap with him. Peace and love Lupe :)

  • so fuckign sick

  • i honestly think he could've done more with this beat

  • "Career so short it should be riding on a horse.

    Mine is a horse,

but mine is the size you could sneak inside a fort."

when i realized this trojan horse reference i had to get up and take a break! lupe is a lyrical genius! but i'm just stating the obvious.

  • @homeboy2294 holy shit...I didn't even notice that one. I knew there was something to the horse punch lines! :'D

  • @homeboy2294

The pony Porsche line after that is just as clever.

Can anyone tell me where Lupe sampled the "enemy of the state" line from?

  • Costa the Capo and Lupe Fiasco are the two realest fuckin MCs right now.

  • Whats the beat?

  • sign the release of Lasers petition

    reply for link

  • YEAH THATS WHY ALOT OF PEOPLE DONT LIKE LUPE...THEY FOOLISH AND NEED SOME SIMPLE DUM SHYT TO UNDERSTAND LIKE LIL WAYNE SIMPLE METAPHORS AND SIMILES...(IM HOT LIKE THE SUN) THEY BE LIKE YooOoooO

  • @labbtopp i feel the exact way, he challenges his audience with his intricate wordplay and metaphors, thats a real artist, he takes pride in his craft and you can tell because ppl dont come up with the stuff he says without putting work and serious thought into

  • The last line where he says "So keep your head down like your reflection in a spoon" I literally took a spoon and seen my reflection upside I mean how does this man come up with these complex metaphors

  • i kinda expected him do tear this beat up but i think this was average by his standards

  • lyrical beast

  • i had to look at my reflection in a spoon after this.... whoa

  • fuck this. comon he has a faggot voice and flows like garbage. bad rip off jay z's flow, like kanye did w one in a million. listen to some real hip hop bitches

  • @347UMOM

so you're listening to this... why?

  • Flood the game like a giant in a dwarfs shorts

should it be dwarf in a giants shorts?

  • @3dakainsane no hes right when you flood it means ur to big for ur pants so the end of the pants come up past ur ankles when u stand up, shorts naturaly dont go that low so imagine hercules in daisy dukes and you get the simile

  • @3dakainsane no hes right when you flood it means ur to big for ur pants so the end of the pants come up past ur ankles when u stand up, shorts naturaly dont go that low so imagine hercules in daisy dukes and you get the simile

  • @3dakainsane no hes right when you flood it means ur to big for ur pants so the end of the pants come up past ur ankles when u stand up, shorts naturaly dont go that low so imagine hercules in daisy dukes and you get the simile

  • The only reason lupe isnt mainstream is because his lyrics are so fucking complicated and smashed with metaphors that the average joe couldnt understand a damn thing he is talking about. i fuckn love lupe and know almost everysong. but damn, i gatta open up my history book for this dude. seriously. i needa look up EVERYTHING. its like im new to lupe again. and i love it!!

  • Maybe if this was 2005 lol, Lupe is mainstream. But you're right about what you said, the complexity is the reason most people either hate him or love him.

    - 4ziATiC

  • @4ziATiC if lupe was mainstream lasers would be out by now

and he'd start rappin about stupid shit like all the rest

  • you don't know what mainstream means.

  • @chr15911 so true.

  • @4ziATiC nah even now lupe isnt very mainstream, when ppl drop top rappers of todays age he never comes up =/

  • watch?v=nl5gBJGnaXs

"My mind's on dope, my brain's on skillets"

    Wow....

  • i thought this was called food and liquor flow

  • @Tonyokay87 it is

  • @Tonyokay87 but 'so ghetto' is the name of the song he's rappin over

  • lyrically he murdered this So far gone best mixtape of 20009 but Enemy of the state lyrically was better man i wish it was longer!!1

  • People missing mad struff.

"Bang bang bang like pops Wayans" Father Wayans had mad kids With-her spoon, spooning lol. But I think you can tranfer it to Pop Wayne (Batman's dad) that died from getting shot. It would go with the Shadow Flow.

And "Coming out of my egg like Mork" In the show Mork and Mindy Mork has a spaceship shaped like an egg

  • @keybladekid0 no son u got it all twisted its the comedian john witherspoon who plays pops on the wayans brother show that he's refering to. hes always saying bang bang bang.

  • Oh ok but I think Lupe allways puts double or triple meanings in his rhymes. Like in Failure or Game Time

  • yeah he probrably right lupe doesn't do that like in the song failure he say

"I push ki so wonderfully you see what I am sayin"

first meaning is easy dragon ball z

second meaning is push ki of drugs/cocaine

third meaning he is pianio keys meaning he making music easliy

  • ^^ from the Free Chilly freestyle not Failure, but yeah.

  • It also in failure at the end of the song check it out you don't believe me

  • lol the way you wrote threw me off, on failure it's

    You see what I'm saying../

    And I push ki's wonderfully/

While on Free Chilly Freestyle it's

I push ki like dragon ball z, you see what I'm Saying/

But yeah some of his older works are literally laced with metaphors. Lupe The Killa is up there with Failure too.

  • Game time it pretty good have you listen to it

  • My Bad on lyrics. Have you listen to game time or twilight zone pretty good

  • Yeah, I have over 300 Lupe tracks in my library, he's my favorite MC lol.

  • He has 300? I got all his songs Mixtapes included. 300 really? Theme Music To A Driveby and Lupe the Killa was crazy Revenge of the Nerds is my favorite mixtape. He said Lazers isn't going to be OD lyrical like the Fahrenheit 1/15 tapes but still ill

  • @4ziATiC mine too yo...he goes in forreal....been down since revenge of the nerds pt 1

  • @4ziATiC 300 tracks?? if u ever plan on uploading them, message me !!! lol. or at least message me a list of the best songs by him. can't believe slept this dude...

  • @4ziATiC Not MC.. MS= Motivational Speaker lol

  • @swagger5137 Hes my favorite too. Cant wait for L.A.S.E.R.S.. FNF UP!!

  • @4ziATiC same here, i think i have all of his music he ever made, featured in, or whatever

  • @4ziATiC damn 300 tracks? i got: the cool, F&L, fahrenheit 1/15 pt1/pt 2, a rhyming ape, lupe the jedi and some other unreleased tracks and thats still only like 115 songs! what gives?! lol

  • you didnt even catch the whol meaing to those last couple of lines on failure there . dig deeper

  • There's more? Enlighten please

  • you 'see' world(Seaworld) is braille here

I'm Bumpy Johnson: I stick to the streets,

Keep my dogs out in front of me,

You 'see' what I'm sayin? And I push keys wonderfully..

  • -Bumpy Johnson = drug dealer in American Gangster / Bumpy = Braile, blind

    - stick to the streets keep my dogs out in front of me = drug dealin ./ and blind (the dogs that help ppl walk)

-push keys wonderfully = stevie wonder played piano (blind) / push keys = push drugs

  • Oh I know that I thought you were talking about So Ghetto

  • damn sick ass fuc

  • I found an old notebook of mine the other day that's full of verses, and on one of the pages I had started to write a complete breakdown of Failure. It must have been like 3-4 years old and I had only finished the first verse, but I already edging the fourth page. I remember spending like an entire week just finding more and more references, some serious lyricy on that track.

  • @4ziATiC Can you post some? for the last 4 years I still don't understand some shit in that song. Lupe said himself that no one deciphered the whole thing or got it right.

  • @keybladekid0 I got the WHOLE song now.

  • @cisseusa123 Send me it bro.

  • @AfterThisShutUp ok man

  • @NiggaNWA1 actualy the last part can be interpreted 2 wayss "you see what im sayin and i push ki's wonderfully" can be interpreted as 2 diffrent things it can be your meaning or a dragon ball z refrence as some thought like sayin as in sayian the super sayian thing and keys=ki's which where the energy blast thing they pushed

  • @NiggaNWA1 Also, "You see what i'm saying (saiyin)? I push keys wonderfully (Keys as in piano, Ki's as in Kilos of drugs, and Ki's as in Energy blasts from Dragon ball Z) ......wow...triple metaphor. I'm not worthy.

  • @NiggaNWA1 Thats why I think "Failure" is the greatest song ever written...

  • @NiggaNWA1 ah i get it keys being kilos, as in kilos of cocaine, weed, or some other drug. damn i just got that

  • wish lupe would have re did this becuase Jay killed this n Lupe did 2but Jay's jus went to hard

  • i believe that this is a premo beat, lupe is killin every one,if only people wernt so dumbed down they would be able to get most of the sick shit he spits

  • It is.

  • @4ziATiC you got strong like its been instilled but its actually distilled

reffering to the makeshift distilleries hillbillies were famous for using to make liquor

  • Good catch.

  • "Mines is a horse, but mine is the size you could sneak inside a fort"

OHHHH MY GOD!!! hahahah.. i forgot where this was from, but some time in history an army gave a HUGE wooden trojan horse filled with reinforcements to their enemies for a surprise attack. and thats what lupe refers to in the line stated above

  • Perhaps the Trojan war lol.

  • haha

  • @MpBizzle thats the trojans

  • haha I like how this nigga knows it was a TROJAN horse but doesn't know whose army it was lmao..

  • @MpBizzle dude, the trojan horse was made by the TROJAN Army, attacking the Greeks

  • its not call it punxsutawny phillips. its colder than punxsutawny phillips cause when the groundhog sees his shadow its 6 more weeks of winter or supn to that effect. the trojan horse and the moonshine references are sick

  • @g4liffe naw he said it right, he made reference to "shadow flow", and Punxsutawney is in Pennsylvania where phil is a groundhog resident. :-) but your right about the groundhog day thing.

  • @rahville i was refering to 4ziatic. He put in the lyrics "call it" punxsutawney phillips, when lupe actually said "colder than"

  • I am on point like the eating side of forks/ ^_^

  • revelry!? how does he know these words. I've probably learned more words listening to lupe than studying for the SATs...lol.

  • He's an educated black man and a Muslim so go figure.

  • the fact that he's muslim has nothing to do with him being educated... lol wow

  • I should of added practicing Muslim instead and yes religion has a lot to do with education. In fact, knowing and reading about religion gives every one a great deal of education. Take care.

  • to a certain extend, it can close ones mind also, especially if you only read one type of religion.. hence extremists? i guess..

  • I actually refute that claim because every religion namely the three monotheistic faiths specifically warns it's followers about extremism. It's actually "lack of religion" which causes extremism. So in essence, it isn't religion which causes extremism but ignorance and lack or religion.

  • The root cause of religious extremism is religion. You cannot escape the logic behind it. Do extremists bend and distort religion to their own agendas? Of course but that's not the point. The very existence of religion gives extremists carte blanche to do whatever the fuck they want. People need to start believing in the power of humanity as a single entity rather than killing each other over who's imaginary friend has a more godly phallus.

  • That's actually very inaccurate for one to say, not to mention that this ideology is very popular during this 20th century. Religion, namely the three monotheistic faiths offer more than just stories to tell. It gives humanity or those influenced by it, good morals to live by and gives them a reasonable explanation for their purpose in life. One prime example I can give you is " western society" and how their obsession with materialism causes scores of physiological problems namely depression.

  • CONTINUED: So what is the cure for such an illness? According to many statistics it is religion which solidifies these sicknesses. Further more, in my previous comment where you decided to reply to me, I stated it pretty clear that over all it is not religion which is a dilemma, but LACK of religion. Clearly, most religions specifically the three Abrahamic faiths FORBID unjust killings and killings of innocent people. It is nieve, ignorant, and uneducated

  • (In respect of religion) people who fall victim to extremism.

  • haha u think ur smart... you need to shove all the nonsense straight up your ass

  • lol and your hating because your not. Guess what? People like you end up no where in life. Seriously, and what the heck you doing listening to Lupe for, I'm sure you don't get half the stuff he talks about.

  • so i'm not smart enough to listen to Lupe huh?... i know this doesnt matter, but im out of college with a 3.9 and HS with a 4.0, so dont act like im not intelligent. Maybe im not on your level, but do you honestly think I am going to listen to what you are saying? and im interested to know where you're at in life, seeing as we're the same age. Any job? Any meaning to your life yet? Quick to pick battles for such a religious person, i'd say

  • @bonis317 Well, I apologize if you find my previous comments to be offensive. I just replied in such a manner because I felt as though your comment was a bit inconsiderate and unthoughtful. But I'm sure we can leave that behind. Anyways you ask how my life is going? Well, for a 20 year man living in the Unites States it's going fairly well. I'm currently attending a community college ( by choice) and will be transferring to USC in about a year or so. Yourself?

  • Honestly I was just being facetious and wasn't expected such a harsh response from anyone. Good for you on being in college and good luck on USC.. never been out there but I wish I coulda gone there. I just graduated in computer science from Ohio State, now working for the US Census helping develop their GIS. If I could do it all over again, I'd go into music production, but hopefully I can do it some day when I'm sick of computers.

  • @bonis317 Sorry again for the harsh response but yeah that's actually very good for you and thanks for the good luck though. But yeah.. your very fortunate to have a job especially in your field of study. It's unfortunate to see so many people laid off and hopes are very slim for a better economy in the coming years.

  • flood like a giant inside a dwarfs shorts

  • So Long Niggas Career is so short it should be riding on a horse... Mines Is A Horse, but mines is the size yu can sneak inside a fort, yours is a pony it can fit inside a porsche....

Did Anybody catch that line.. its a reference to the trojan War.. when they give them the big horse for a present and came out the horse and killed thm...

  • "Keep you head down like reflection in a spoon" when you look at your reflection in a spoon your head looks distorted kinda like those with down syndrome...is that what he means??

  • when u look into a spoon, ur reflection is flipped upside down. not because you look retarded hahaha. funny thought though

  • stop calling everything a freestyle

  • Scroll down.

  • hey man even lupe said the majority of the mixtape was done in one day, so... i think it is ....

  • shake made that cover

  • LOL Bang Bang Bang...u know the Wayans Bros pops was the father in the movie Friday too...and when he was on the toilet he was explainin what he would do if he caught a dog..."I catch a dog and I, I choke em then put my foot up his ass, all day just BANG BANG BANG up his ass...that's my pleasure" LMAO

  • My mind's on dope, my brain's on skillets/

Thoroughly trained and just bang off lyrics/

Bang bang bang like pops Wayans

Hahaha "bang bang bang" Pops use to say that all the time in the Wayans Brothers show

  • haha noticed king ghidorah from godzilla is in the beat

  • Where?

  • CONSISTENT

  • the image in the vid is the alternate for those who didnt know.

  • i like the alternate cover better thats hot.

  • damn

  • this my fave from mixtape.........i like how they used the paris tokyo shoot pic as the mixtape cover lol..........free chilly

  • this track is only 1:17 sec and I played back 3 time to understand what the fuck he saying and each time i loved it more lupe is to sick damn

  • Lyrics are in the description :). When I was writing them I kept rewinding and playing it back and every time a line connected I was like ohh man. Fire.

  • @4ziATiC Thanks a lot for the lyrics bro. This track is sick, and it's Lupe so I really had no need to expect less...trojan horse line was my favorite.

  • Lupe isn't holdin' back anymore.....

    FNF^^

  • "Was coming out my egg like Mork" Mork and Mindy was show about an alien(Mork) who arrives on Earth in a egg shaped space ship.Lupe's simile game is far more vast than a lot of others.Peace.

  • Yeah theres a bunch of television references - Beverly Hillbillies, The Wayans Bros, Mork & Mindy, Groundhog Day. I wish this track was longer because his flow is the ILLEST on this beat.

    -4ziATiC

  • Yeah. What's funny is people believe this is lupe at his best.HAHA this ain't even lupe at his worst.XD December 25th theres gonna be another mixtape. The anticipation is killin me.Peace.

  • how do you know these are all freestyles ? i mean i believe it cuz its lupe but where'd u hear it

  • Freestyle is a word that's been thrown around so much it's hard to say what it really means anymore. Back in the day a freestyle would be completely right off the dome on the spot. Over time a lot of freestyles incorporated written lines (nobody in a freestyle battle actually 100% freestyles anymore). When you listen to Rap City or any time they're in a booth they almost always got their lines ready beforehand. Today freestyles usually just mean over another beat, straight forward with no cuts.

  • Yea true I hear you on that. Lupe can go off the top very well though. Probably better than anyone ever as far as depth.

I see you like Doom, I just started listening to him a couple weeks ago ... Vomitspit

  • My favorite track on the mixtape.
