Will a blown intake gasket make like the headgaskets blown,I do have water in the oil. I think im You no what lol,, Bout whats it cost to have this all done? Thanks for your no how and support.. Don
@donrd1223 well, the water in the oil could have come from the intake gaskets.. unless you are severely loosing compression it is likely that it is just the intake.. some places do the heads cheap but I recommend having them done right if you separate them from the block - have them milled and checked. I don't really know the cost but I would imagine $1-2k to have them done. I would for sure not run it if there is water in the oil.. the bottom end is a lot harder to get right if at all..
@udontnoeme05 --- go to autozone.com , free register and then access the online repair guides. The torque sequence depends on year, changed for the 96+ 4.3 engine.
@xSFU420x it is really not to hard, you just have to have the patience to work through it. is yours leaking oil? if it is coolant then it is originating from the side like mine did.. be sure to watch the oil.. if it starts to look chocolaty then you need to not run it until you are able to get it fixed or the problem will get really worse with internal engine damage.
My 95 has a Valley Pan type Intake Gasket. And Was Your spyder assembly all one unit or could you change each injector seperately? Mine is one Unit. Pain in the ass!!! Nice Job!!
@navythomas8 Yea the injection is all one piece on these.. I believe that is the case with all of the Vortec motors.. it can be a mess when they go bad but great when they work right
