  • Didn't Patton actually hate Faith No More?

  • cool , Jim Martin with a cigarette going, awesome

  • Jim Martin is so fucking cool. I put this on in the background whilst doing some homework and I can't stop watching the video cause he looks so bad ass!

FUCKKKK FAITH NO MORE > COLLEGE WORK

  • I want to hear the crowd to capture the vibe. :(

  • The singer went to my high school

  • great song great singer

  • Rock Band 3!!!!

  • 1:11 ultimate fist pump haha

  • Kurwa six ? haha ; d

  • 666 likes... looool

  • After 1991 In Mike Patton the demon was installed

  • oh man the bass. so. fucking. cool.

  • PERFORMED LIVE FOR MTV. Timeless. Beautiful, though Jim Martin and Mike Patton were really pulling apart their already loose fabric. I love Jim Martin, though. And Kim Thayil and Joe Strummer and James Patrick Page and Dave Navarro and Tom Morell and Mick Jones and The Doors and Gram Parsons and my wife and kids. That's, that's about it. And probably weed ... .

  • WAS THE DRUMMER, THE DRUMMER FOR OZZY OSBOURNE TOO? :O

  • @SkatePride101 he sure was

  • @wikid1992 whoooah duuuude o.o hahah

  • @SkatePride101: No, the drummer for Ozzy was the drummer for Faith No More too.

  • @metalabsynth i acctually prefer jim martin :)

  • @biofaesperanca i hear ya it's all about who ya like more, it's a shame he's not doin music anymore tho :(

  • Prague 1992

  • the only thing about jim martin that makes me jealous about him is...........evrything

  • Mike Patton is the king

  • His voice is very weak in this paticuarlar concert i have noticed his voice isnt as good as album but im still in love with FNM ROCK ON

  • @GuineaPigGuidance5 Actually, his voice is spot-on... the problem is that, despite having microphones in front of them, the back-up vocals weren't singing.

  • The 13 people that disliked this are clearly deaf!

  • O.O Crowds really quiet

  • Aaa yes - good ol Jimbo! The one and only when it come to FNM guitarists - Trey Spruance did a great job on King for a day thou' - but still it's Jimbo all the way for me.

  • Jim Martin - Guitar GOD!!!

  • Jim is a good guitarist, but I'm glad he left. He wasn't into the music he was playing, and that is a terrible situation for a band.

  • @uiruu

Apparently you haven't watched Faith No More shows, nor been to many. That's just the way he is, man.

  • @frogmonkeyify I haven't been to many shows by them. In fact, I haven't been to any. I know, my life sucks. Anyway. I know that's the way he is, and that's precisely why he was booted out. He wasn't interested in the music he was playing, and was displeased with the direction the band was taking. He's a great guitarist, but he was holding them back. If they didn't fire him, King For A Day wouldn't have been made. And King For A Day is by far my favorite FNM album.

  • @uiruu

Without Jim Martin Faith No More lost that distinct edge, that of which signified Faith No More's sound for many years. Texture wise, he was greatly instrumental in the incorporation of counterpuntal and succinct harmony, as well as being heavily conducive to the music's overall atmosphere. And to clear up some confusion or misunderstanding considering in regards to his demeanor, and my apologetic argument towards that, was meant to propound that said demeanor was more so languid...

  • @uiruu

than petulant or quarrelsome, though I will concede there was quite a bit of bad blood between Moseley and Martin, as evident therein the tension prevalent in interviews involving the two.

  • @frogmonkeyify Wow. Using big words to try and impress me eh? You a funny, funny man. Jon Hudson is the better guitarist anyway.

  • @uiruu

Who said I cared for your opinion of me? I'm more concerned with your ignorance towards music. As for the greatest guitarist, that title would probably belong to Shawn Lane. You should check his stuff out. I'm glad you find me amusing at least. Could you try to be amusing? I just find you sad.

  • @frogmonkeyify You used big words as if you were trying and failing to sound smart. Just saying.

I've never heard of Shawn Lane, but in the music world that's usually a good thing if you are under the radar. Personally, I think the best modern guitarists are Buckethead and Tom Morello.

Now, what do you find sad about me? What did I say? I love FNM, I respect the hell out of Jim Martin, the only thing is that Jim didn't like the music anymore. So he left. That helped both FNM and Jim.

  • @uiruu

Firstly, this is how I normally type. You know that thing called an education? Yeah, it's conducive to eloquence. It's not my fault you don't know how to use Google, now is it? :) Secondly, try not to be such a douche.

  • @frogmonkeyify Yeah because "FUCK YOU THATS HOW JIM MARTIN IS" is so, so eloquent. Oh yeah, that's right, you deleted those comments. What do you know?

  • @uiruu

Which comments? I deleted none. Furthermore, I know more than you, evidently.

  • @frogmonkeyify Well, then maybe they were removed. And rightly so, as you are a pretentious prick who shouldn't listen to Faith No More.

  • @uiruu

They weren't removed. Apparently you confuse wit with condescension.

  • Comment removed

  • @frogmonkeyify Oh, sorry. But still, you calling me a douche is hilarious. And yeah, Jim is a great guitarist, but come on man, he was fired for a reason.

  • @uiruu let it go

  • @frogmonkeyify Comment removed? Again? Wow.

  • @uiruu

Only one comment removed, stupid. What's with your incessant responses; do you seriously have no life?

  • @frogmonkeyify Lol, a guy like you has a son? Aren't parents supposed to be mature?

Look, if you are insulting me poorly, then surely I can insult you poorly. And no, I have a life. I just like to chill out and listen to Faith No More, and then I saw you saying that Jim shouldn't have left or something like that. And I responded. Then we kept responding.. and so on. How does that make me a bad person? Because by that logic so are you, and the rest of the youtubers as well.

    Good day, then.

  • @uiruu

Nope. People were looking down upon him unjustly. I felt the need to defend Jim Martin as both a musician and a cohesive, integral part of Faith No More.

  • @frogmonkeyify Integral part? If he was so integral, the band would have floundered without him. But they didn't. In fact, they only got better with King For A Day. So, yeah.

  • @uiruu Jim Martin was the best guitarist in FNM full stop, look at all the kingpins of the FNM set list which are all Jim Martin compositions which the other guitarist can only COPY!

  • @beano1eye Alright, that's all good and fine but that's not the point. He was KICKED OUT because he had NO INTEREST IN THE DIRECTION THE MUSIC WAS TAKING. Guitar skills are irrelevant. He just didn't fit in anymore, and that really shows in this clip.

  • the guitar player sucks in attitude (everytime)

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @nunopumpkin Back Off. That is Jim Martin, YOUR attitude sucks.

  • @frogmonkeyify well i think the band agrees with me. no, wait: i agree with the band

  • @nunopumpkin

Well, you know nothing about the band. I deduced this upon your lack of knowledge of his name, which is Sir James Martin of Faith No More, as well as your distaste towards him, despite how prevalent his guitar work is in Faith No More, since if you knew this fact, then you wouldn't have reacted the way you did; you would have adulated him. You're simply envious of Jim Martin's demeanor and talent, evidently. Get some sunlight once and a while. Seems like you need some vitamin A.

  • @frogmonkeyify

    Vitamin D*

  • @frogmonkeyify i'm not even a bif fan of this band, i just think it's obvious that a guy standing on stage smoking is not the biggest stage present in the world, and i dislike his very metal-oriented guitar playing (personal opinion) and the fact that he wears sunglasses on stage doens't help neither. i don't care whatever youhave to say, like i said i don't even like the band that much, but i can have my opinion

  • @nunopumpkin

You're just so stupid. His guitar playing added dynamic and flavour to Faith No More. Perhaps the reason you don't realise this is because you're not a musician. You're just some cretin who doesn't know what he's talking about.

  • @frogmonkeyify I do get a lot of sunlight, i live in the sunniest place in Europe :) are you gonna callme eurotrash? fag? stupid? :) LOL look it's not a problem that i don't like the guitar player, YOUR problem is that the band don't like him andprobably don't care about his name neither. take care.

  • always loved Faithnomore... Mike patton is a genius!!!

  • This song rules

  • WTH was going on? Jon looked like he wanted to leave and have nothing to do with this at all.

  • @nomadmalachi jim? it was 91 and he left the band in 93. you can fill in the blanks

  • i think it says a lot more for the band when 16 year olds are loving them 20 years later, than it does from some tool from the 80s-90's scene just liking what he knows that he is expected to like from the era.

  • fucking great!!! patton forever ! arrrrrrrrrrrrgh

  • Kellie loves FAITH NO MORE!!!!!

  • Poland loves Faith No More!

  • Well, Dougskapt this is in 1992, in Indianapolis. It was when the ultimate trio Faith No More, Metallica, and Guns and Roses were touring together. Of course, FNM were just the appetizers, since they were still an opening act at the time. But they still deserved touring with GNR and Met. Best tour I've seen among most in the 90s.

  • Its the Guns N Roses Metallica FNM tour...probably 91?

  • That Texas shirt instantly remind me "Drug the waters" ...

  • ILL PERFORMANCE

  • The guitarist is so cool!

  • this is so ninties. I LOVE IT!

  • dude, I want that fucking 666 texas shirt!!

  • whoa mtv used to play music and concerts and stuff?

  • Wow when mtv actually played music!! The younger generations have no idea what im talking about! Faith no more kicks soo much ass!!

  • @greenative Hi, im 16, please don't stereotype us all

  • @cheezytaz im 12 too

  • @greenative i'm 16 too, but the age doesn't matter, in my opinion it is our duty to search the best music from each and every source available out there, and elect the music that has the power to inspire, has a message to say, and brings innovation into the music industry, and i agree with you about MTV.. it's not about music as an art anymore, is about music as a business

  • @100l14n Damn fucking straight. The trouble is, the common man are...lazy, stupid, ignorant and impatient.

If it's common, it ain't good. If it's good, it ain't common.

  • @LessthanJake14 thanks for getting it straight :D you're right:D

  • They sound so great live!

  • this was the first time this song was played live i belive it was in 1992 i know

  • ooooooyyyyeeeeeaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Coolest guitarist ever.

  • Great sound but it could be better if there were ambient mics...you can't hear the audience and the sound is quite dry.

  • nice performance

but the guitarist could sing the background voice instead of being badass xD

or he's just too stoned, who knows ;)

  • @80sMeavyHetal agreed

  • Sounds awesome. But better Vid Quality would be nice! All after all, genious live performance!

  • Sounds horrible .

  • Prague 92...

  • @Muskateering dude i listen to FNM and im barely 18. my mom would listen to Epic and Midlife Crisis on the radio.

  • @Muskateering

I may have missed out in terms of when I was born but I listen to 80's and 90's music almost exclusively so I'm fully aware of how awesome they were!

  • @Muskateering indeed they did the 90's was the shit man best decade ever.

  • @Muskateering best rap too

  • i love these guys, only one thing spoiled this vid a bit for me, does jim on guitar sound like he's way out of tune at 2.40 onwards to anyone else? probably the heat of the stage, heat detunes things on stage alot

  • 10 people can go to hell

  • This song makes me feel so nostalgic - it reminds me that almost a year has passed since I saw the greatest band that ever existed... I wish I could go back in time :(

  • TWO pairs of sunglasses?! badass.

At the beginning Mike says "Kurvafix" which is czech swear-word.

  • cool song, horrible audio mix

  • The best of the best, without a doubt. Great talent, songwriting, and a singer that can put them all to shame. Melodic, tuneful, powerful, and original.

  • Killer song...too bad Jim Martin's guitar is buried in the mix. Damn PA guys...LOL

  • @bowslap The Keys are about the same level as Jim too.

They both shoulda been a little lounder. Jim's tone itself is great there though.
