Scrubs is my one and only favorite TV show and I watch it in the German language. Not because I cannot understand english, the opposite is the case. I can't help but think there is something superior to the original, just because you are fully experiencing the performance of the actor you are looking at and the language of the culture it is set in. That doesn't mean its absolutely superior though; it might gain something in translation too. You could even see it as a creative collaboration.

@gomdffa Maybe because they like their own language more. In Sweden we only dub movies and tv shows for kids. Maybe that's why we are good at English. My 6 year old niece and 5year old brother know a little English and my niece can sing different songs in English.

Could you please just stop arguing whether the german or english voices are better?! The Germans think the german voices are better because they´re used to it, the Americans think the american voices are better because they´re used to it, that´s it! Yes, they´re different, and I had to get used to Turk´s english voice, but it´s ok. I swear, if you would watch Scrubs in german language for a couple of months, you will get used to these voices and like them, too. No reason to be offensive!

@Fruehlingskonzert they´re always sort of better, of course because they´re the original. I´m just saying that scrubs did a pretty good job :) They at least try to get the wordplays and jokes right and I think they actually get it pretty good. And I´m german to :D
believe me I'm Bilingual (German and English) and its MUCH harder getting used to the German voices if you've watched it in english before than it is to get used to the english voices if you've watched it in German before!!!

I've watched dozens of Series one i sarted watching in German and then in english and others I've watched in English first and then in German and it is ALWAYS the same u only have to watch 1 epsiode if ure going from German to English and you dont mind the different voices (alot of the time I find them even Better in english . I realized that especially in "Pirates of the Caribbean" - cant stand to watch it in German anymore)

And who cares how bad the dubbing is when people in Germany are still laughing at JD´s daydreams, people in USA are still smiling at how dorky they are, people in France still cry when Ben dies (hope didn´t give anything away here) and people in Russia still feel happy when Jack gets baptised? :) Scrubs is awesome...

@Bjobbie This is bull. Sure I won't try to speak Dutch when I'm German. I'll speak English. Why stumble upon words you can't understand? Scrubs is my one and only favorite TV show and I watch it in the German language. Not because I cannot understand english, the opposite is the case. But German is my native language and it touches me far more then english, because Scrubs is the only show with a soul, not just blind comedy. You native language will always be YOUR language.

@015marv das will ich garnicht bestreiten , ganz anders. ich stimme dir voll und ganz zu!keine andere sendung is so gut wie scrubs!einfach wegen diesen szenen wo man sich schepplachen kann und dann diese szenen an den man einfach richtig mitfühlt und alles ist wirklich gut kombiniert. ich fande es nur bei einer szene nicht so schön nämlich bei szene am ende(folge17staffel8)wo todd dann in den raum kommt und dann diesen moment leicht zerstört da ich lieber nur das emotionale hätte(stellenbedingt)

I can't help but think there is something superior to the original, just because you are fully experiencing the performance of the actor you are looking at and the language of the culture it is set in. That doesn't mean its absolutely superior though; it might gain something in translation too. You could even see it as a creative collaboration.

When i watch tv-sows with original languages with subtitles i notice that a lot of jokes is skiped out because there is no good translation.

@gomdffa Maybe because they like their own language more. In Sweden we only dub movies and tv shows for kids. Maybe that's why we are good at English. My 6 year old niece and 5year old brother know a little English and my niece can sing different songs in English.

Could you please just stop arguing whether the german or english voices are better?! The Germans think the german voices are better because they´re used to it, the Americans think the american voices are better because they´re used to it, that´s it! Yes, they´re different, and I had to get used to Turk´s english voice, but it´s ok. I swear, if you would watch Scrubs in german language for a couple of months, you will get used to these voices and like them, too. No reason to be offensive!

believe me I'm Bilingual (German and English) and its MUCH harder getting used to the German voices if you've watched it in english before than it is to get used to the english voices if you've watched it in German before!!!

I've watched dozens of Series one i sarted watching in German and then in english and others I've watched in English first and then in German and it is ALWAYS the same u only have to watch 1 epsiode if ure going from German to English and you dont mind the different voices (alot of the time I find them even Better in english . I realized that especially in "Pirates of the Caribbean" - cant stand to watch it in German anymore)

And who cares how bad the dubbing is when people in Germany are still laughing at JD´s daydreams, people in USA are still smiling at how dorky they are, people in France still cry when Ben dies (hope didn´t give anything away here) and people in Russia still feel happy when Jack gets baptised? :) Scrubs is awesome...
