This was an excellent video but it kept stopping every two seconds and was very frustrating. Does that happen because too many people are on line? I tried everything to get it to work better.
I am planning to use the same color for my formal dining ( Traditional )what you say ?? Instead of Gold leaf can I use Gold Paint ?? Please let me know what you think ... Thanks in Advance..
Oops. Forgot to give info on the glaze! We usually make our own with burnt and raw umber tints but there is a glaze on the market that is pretty darn close: Asphaltum Aging glaze by McCloskey. Make sure you add regular glaze to it to increase the working time. In addition to the video, the instructions posted on our website blog may help more since it gives a few additional tips. Wish they allowed links here: the blog is in the Garay Artisans dot com site, search using "glazed and gold".
Thank you for the compliments! I'm excited you're trying the finish - keep me posted! Here's the info: Base - Sherwin-Williams 6327, Glue/Leaf - Wunda Size & gold Schaibin. On our website (Garay Artisans dot com), we have a blog that I frequently post to writing information about all things faux & design. I wrote out the full finish instructions on a December post. Please do a search on the blog itself for "glazed and gold" and it should come up (sorry: I couldn't get links to post here).

Hi This was a good demo;
You mention that you use raw siena and burnt umber for your aging. Could you give us the amounts along with the base material that you use?
