yes that's why mine are in their own separate veggi bed but as they grow and hang over the fish reach up out of the water and grab them , its more like a game to them.

Thats one of the best filters and ponds iv seen. how long did it take you to construct all that?

Hi and thanks, it took 4 years before I could put water into it but that was with keeping a full time job as well , so I could only work on it evenings and week ends with some odd days like holidays ,

Your filter i though it was like 2 big but you have so many of them and that means Quality of the water CLEAN GOOD JOB

hi and thanks, yes I use a UV but the main thing is to address the balence of the pond , remember green water and blanket weed needs food, warmth, and plenty of light. control these 3 will control green water.. good luck .

how long does it take to cleen the filter. and what plants do you have in your vegi filter

About half an hour once a week depends how quickly it fills back up with mains water, some times in the summer it can be quit slow. every other week I do a more intense clean and this can take longer.

As for the plants I love the big tall lilly type plant with big white flowers I think it starts with a (Z) also water cress. a variegated type of grass, anything that is hungry for nitrate as that's what we want to remove as much of as possible, its a bonus if they look good too.
