  • Of course, this being the Golden Age of animation, and the Hays Office still wielding considerable power, the after-effects of eating large quantities of beans was (perhaps mercifully) unexplored...unless that's what was making that train whistle SFX at 5:51-5:54.

  • Columbia reissued quite a number of their '40s cartoons during the '50s (as "A Columbia Favorite")- this was originally released in their "Color Rhapsody" series in December 1947, directed by Sid Marcus.

  • brought back memories! Haven't seen the toon in decades.
