My last comment ran our of space or I couldn't type more in it, anyhow the sound effects could've been worked on a little more and you should not add the first one that matches, make sure it fits the other sound effects and the film itself ;).
First of all, good work guys! Looks quite ambitious.
The goods were the location, props and the music added, it seemed carefully chosen to me and it added to the films.
The bads were that the dialogue was too low at some place, I could barely hear you sometimes, an external microphone will fix that issue, the film could do with some good colour correction and finally
Sometimes you need to cut quicker (I heard someone speaking at the end of some clips) and at 9:16, is that a gun in the tree?
@MrLoullers Thanks for the feedback! Color correction is a must for our next series, and the dialogue was my fault. I didn't think we would need a mic until post, and that was mostly the loud river.
And the Gun was supposed to be the dead sniper's gun, but I didn't make it obvious enough.
Terrible. Just terrible. Why did you make this? Why would you post such a god awful excuss for a film? I searched for "50 Cal Machine Gun" and all I saw in your "movie" was a cardboard toy prop and a bunch of kids pretending they're warriors. Do the world a favor and the next time you feel like playing with toy guns, don't bother filming it, or at the very least don't upload it for other to stumble on. I want my 12 minutes back.
@tarzanmanboy2 I hate it when people say that. If you watched the whole 12 minutes, then it's your fault, not theirs... "Don't upload it for other to stumble on."? lol.
@tarzanmanboy2 I can completely understand you hateing the video and not likeing the prop machine gun we have. But seriously, cardboard? Anyone who "looked" for one could clearly tell you that was metal. All of our props (aside from the P90) were made of some sort of metal.
What is this? The helmets and uniforms look like stuff you found at Good Will and the guns look like toys from the 99 Cent Store. If you don't have the budget, acting skills, or the maturity to make a decent military movie, why bother trying? Leave it to the pros and join the Army when your old enough if you like playing war so much.
@dudeoftheages I'm sure many famous directors as well as failed directors were told to "leave it to the pros". The ones who turned out to be total failures in my mind are the ones who listen and follow.
If you guys were trying to be funny and go for so bad it's good, I'm sorry but it didn't work. If you were trying to go for serious action war movie, I hate to break it to you, but this is honestly one of the worest things I've witnessed. Bad acting, terrible writing, bad camera work, shotty editing, poor costumes/props, lazy FX, too few actors for the plot, etc, etc, etc. Kids as gruff soldiers? Terrible idea. You might want to find a new hobby. Maybe model building is more you speed.
@Filmhawk You must be thinking they were making a spoof. I think they seriously thought this was a dramatic war movie. The Lt guy forgets and stumbles over his poorly written lines and everyone else acts like they don't give a shit. Thumbs down.
@kingofthenanobots We just do this for fun, and we don't write up any lines. We do improve lines because we enjoy that more than reading scripts. Really, you're taking this way too serious.
@jenalbertson23 lol, good one. But the GRAs are for professionaly made bad movies. We need anual youtube rasberry awards. Now that would be fucking hilarious to watch.
@AndreasFtv We use the Adobe suite (premiere, after effects, soundbooth, etc.) I had problems with after effects this time around, so... not our best.
nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
