I beleive that some of the students take Brother Micah more serious than that baptist minister. That baptist preacher falls in with the rest of them, but Brother Micah is a spectacle for the Gospel's sake... even a laughing stock. I believe that those students realize that and at least one was digging in his/her Bible to see what Brother Micah was saying.

I must agree with you. I hadn't got to really watch the debate until a couple of days ago. I have never seen a more lopsided debated than this one. I am proud to be his pastor. He surely represents our church well.

That is correct. I am originally from Kentucky, but moved here about 6 1/2 years ago. I have been pastoring outside of Tampa for about 5 1/2 years of that time. Who's your friend, they might be my friend too.

He is a great Holiness brother. He told me alot about your ministry. I dont believe we have met, but its always possible we have attened the same meetings, Much of my preaching was in eastern kentucky and we probably fellowship with many of the same people. The Lord has my wife and i In Richmond Indiana going to church right now, but we live in southern ohio.

I actually get your point. I want to remind you though that Paul and Jesus were hated for calling people who were self righteous in their own eyes in a works religion to repented believe in a salvation by faith alone not by self righteous deeds. The Jews hated this concept. However, the reason why Micah is hated and wanted to be punched is because he rudely calls people names. Paul's persecution often happened as a result of preaching the word, NOT calling people sluts, whores, whimps, etc.

Micah is not hated for the Cross. He is hated for His self righteous, egotistical, degrading attitude toward the students. Again is there a place for calling sin what it is? YES, but with gentleness and kindness. Read 2 Timothy 2:24-25! Guys please get this, if someone hates you because Christ and Him crucified it is one thing. But to hate you because you mock them self righteously claim you are better than them.All of these don't line up with Paul's statement in 1 Tim 1:15. He is humble

I agree totally bibluver. I have seen this guy preach and talked to him one on one. He does not preach about salvation through grace or about why Jesus did what He did on the cross for us. As an observer I saw pride and arrogance in his preaching. Satan knows scripture, so his memorization does not impress me.

Micah's logic and most of you who support him is this:  To be mistreated or hated or treated bad by someone proves that they preach the TRUTH. This is faulty logic...if I used the same logic your mistreatment of me in all of these threads would prove I am preaching the truth and you are with Satan. This logic is crazy. The way to tell if someone is correct is ONLY the Scriptures! Micah does not give the Gospel ONE time in the entire debate and that was the 2nd topic!

However, wouldn't you agree that he would be ridiculed for condemning sin and speaking The Truth according to The Bible?

Mike Sprout again doesn't seem to know his scriptures very well. Jesus said - "Be Perfect as I am perfect". Peter said - Be Holy as our father in heaven is holy". Holiness is the perfection of the heart. Pharisee's kept the law outwardly - but their hearts were wicked. Jesus was hated by world, if Pastor Mike Sprout is not being hated by the world then he is being loved by the world.

Paul denounced the claim to perfection, John condemned those who say they are without sin as liars. Paul said that he was a "wretched man"/ sinner and the only reason he's saved is because of the grace of God. When Jesus says be perfect he is not saying that you are perfect, he is giving you a goal to STRIVE TO, an exortation. Don't you see the point? Artain, we are to speak in gentleness and respect(1 Peter 3:15), not in a worldly manner that would cause them to have something agaiinst us.

And not only that, but we are perfect by CHRISTS Righteousness that COVERS US, not by our "running", as Paul puts it(Romans 4:4-5). We are not perfect in the sense that we won't sin, but we are perfect in the sense that we are made right with God by JUSTIFICATION. Sanctification is a process, wherein we grow more and more in the likeness of Christ. Please read Titus 2:8 and see that those who pick fights with the world are just like the world, hypocrits. See how a true Christian should speak.

Dejan - so God is really more interested in man being positionally holy than actual true holiness? Sin is horrific and for God to want man to be positionally justified and yet continue in sin is a gross misrepresentation of God's character and nature! Repentance means not a gradual turning from sin but a full 180 degrees. As with most Calvinist you can't seem to read the bible with prooftexting. Rom 4 is addressing a works sans faith NOT against walking in righteousness.

No, but holiness is more than a position it is an ATTITUDE, and we aren't suppose to become sinful to attract sinners. Who said that I teach to continue in your sin? May it NEVER BE, how can we who are DEAD to sin live in it any longer(Romans 6:1)???

I agree with your defenition of repentace, the only thing is I believe that it is a GIFT OF GOD given to the believer. Those who are converted to the new nature, will out of RESULT LIVE ACCORDING TO THAT NEW NATURE, in CHRIST, repenting of sin.
